Aunty Helen boss kathi,that is one of my all time fav dish .. good to see you back in action Kev.. Congratulations Videsh and Leah. . Kavita ,a little tip for your Basmati rice,After washing the rice,add some Olive oil, salt,a pimento pepper cut into pieces, depends on how much rice cooking add 1 or 2 maggi cubes,(I use veggie maggie cubes) also if desires add a sprinkle of Mrs Dash,mix well then add your water and cook.Comes out very flavourful and delicious.Also if desires add like 2pieces of cinnamon sticks and little while grain Geera.

An egg whisk is good to mix the dhal mixture instead of using the hand, also it easily and quickly breaks any lumps....
