In college i’ve been getting lessons about how to ask good questions, really all i’ve heard there i see perfectly executed by Tommy. People don’t realise it but he is fucking amazing at asking the right questions and saying the right things. He keeps their respect, can make jokes, can make the conversation get deep, he is really good at this.
@mattymatt69706 күн бұрын
He's just a naturally charismatic guy. He understands people, he's truly interested, and he cares. That's really all it takes for some people. In other words, Tommy is a people person.
@mkapp87246 күн бұрын
@@mattymatt6970 yeah true, but his way of asking questions you aren’t born with. He definitely learned it from somewhere with some research. Which is pretty logical as he wanted to be, and now is a journalist. If that’s a word in english haha
@mattymatt69706 күн бұрын
@@mkapp8724 ya. Journalist is a word. Honestly, I feel like I could just do it. 😆 lead with questions and shit. I interview women on dates and shit. I'm COMPLETELY aware of how ignorant I probably sound tho. I actually have a few interviews planned. Maybe I'll find out it's much harder than I think. Even if I didn't, I'm sure I'll still learn more techniques if I keep doing it, from studying other people and learning what I tried but didn't work. I'm NOT saying I WILL be good. I'm just saying the quiet part out loud. Either way, I'm very intrigued with interviews. They're cool.
@mkapp87245 күн бұрын
@@mattymatt6970 I feel you bro. Some people are born very social and have good communication skills, me too. I am very good at having conversations, tommy is too. But tommy is also really good at asking the right questions and his way of acting makes people like him. Being good at asking woman the right questions is definitely a good step haha. What kind of interviews do you have planned? You must also realise in Tommy's case, he isn't just asking good questions like an interview. He is surrounded by groups of intidimating people, who really could do anything. He's also getting filmed needs to constantly watch out for people fucking with him. Still he manages to make them like him and ask really good questions, he's a boss.

@Joshmo123413 күн бұрын
I don't know, they are pretty notorious for violence, like come at you with a machete violent. Not too many gangs in America are known for that lol UPDATE: Apparently a few people misinterpreted my original comment. I never said this certain gang was the most violent, most feared, the only gang that uses machetes, or even the most notorious. I honestly don't care one way or the other, gangbanging is a sign of cowardice in my opinion. Only scared indviduals(mostly children/teens) who can't fight or defend themselves join street gangs for protection and "status". I don't approve of any of this BS
@beng464713 күн бұрын
I'm from NY. I've never heard of them. 100% of NY "gangsters" are just ignorant welfare babies that have never paid for anything in their entire lives. Their parents did the same. They all get checks every month that equal far more than a minimum wage worker. And they all get a free condo when they turn 18. A free condo that costs NY 200 to 600 thousand dollars. It is free for life. The state even gives them a new fridge and stove every year because they don't clean anything.

What up big dog? I really enjoy watching all the crazy stuff on your channel Tommy G! Fun fact: The lowest character on the “Totem pole” is actually the most important and the level of importance is lower as you get higher! You would be surprised how many people use that term and they have no idea that it’s the exact opposite. My mom’s side of my family are Indigenous,or Native as a lot of people like to be called. There are a few different sayings that non Native people use that are kind of offensive,as well as being used ass backwards. If people are going to use sayings from other people’s cultures then they can at least use them right. It wouldn’t really be disrespectful if people actually knew what they were saying,honestly.

Normally journalism is a particular thing, but how you said in one of your videos that you've sidestepped the professional accreditation and jumped head first straight into it and found out that your sincerity propels you everywhere you go and to the people you interview. I also appreciate it when someone challenges my ways of thinking about something. I really respect that man, thank you for the interesting content. Best wishes to you and your future endeavors, J.

6:35 He always wanted to be a Royal, even at 8 or 9. His uncles were Royals and they kept telling him no - you're too little - don't want you out here etc - he eventually became a peewee and got sent to prison at 13 for the murder of a neutron . Only catch is he didn't kill anyone - he got tricked on and lied on and spent his teenage years all the way into his late 20s, early 30s sitting in prison just steaming and planning ...he comes out red hot and ready to be top Royal, he tried to get the band back together but guys his age had kids, been in and out of the streets for years and had lived that life. Once the cash came it was crazy - he was recruiting the kids of his friends in traditional Royal hoods but that wasn't enough and he wanted more - so he starts flipping TVLs and Imperial Gangsters ( the guy in the video with him grew up a member of the imperial gangsters) - he starts going after everybody he deems an opp ( anyone not claiming Royal) - putting bags on the heads of any opp, not just the leaders - TVLs, CVLs, SGDs, Milwaukee Kings, 4s and Cobras mainly Some say he was upset over the fact that his peers ( people like Earl) didn't click up with him and was using it as an excuse to take control on his original hoods as well as out west. In reality Earl and Cecilia had like 5 kids, some really young and yes Earl definitely still was a Royal just wasn't about that street hustle all day every day ... Tj and I are the same age but I never really knew him before the first arrest so I can't attest to what he was like beforehand. Other Royals who did know him say he was always that kid getting into trouble, fucking with everybody etc Crazy epilogue to the whole story is what went down with Earl a few years after this. Ended up shooting and killing his wife Cecilia (she was a longtime Royal as well) and either then killing himself or getting shot by his teenage son (also a Royal) depending on who you talk to ... I know the TVLs / Royals out west ( no luv money ) called themselves Oskeenotown or some shit like that in memory of a beloved Royal who was lit up on the street - there are still a few Royals out that way but most flipped back to TVL, apparently they'r mixed TVL /Royal set which is fucking crazy if y V ask me
