Happy memories of singing this at Mary Mags in Oxford with Westminster College chapel choir. Wish I could still sing 1st soprano 😊

17 years ago I had the privilege to be on the organ, when our choir was performing this piece during a music festival here in switzerland - my deep gratitude goes to our great conductor back then ❤

Can't beat Ireland for a great song. Would love to hear Sinéad O'Connor singing with them too.

Some of the choristers are wearing a black sash on their back. One has a blue sash. What does that mean?

Hello James, good question. All Choral Scholars are also students at the University. Most are undergraduates, working towards their first academic degree. Others are postgraduates who already hold a degree and are enrolled on a further course of study at the University. The sashes that you see are graduation 'hoods' - there is a range of colours and styles corresponding to different awarding faculties and types of degree.
