I ran across CPU sockets in my salvage bin where a dozen or so had very small gold wire in each pin hole. They are not magnetic and look to be gold. Can you tell us anything about these? I can’t imagine I have to process these with chemicals if pure gold. Note - thousands of these wires don’t even total a gram. Thank you!

Acid is acidic and SMB is alkaline. When I finish filtering, notice that I pour fresh water into the filter funnel to wash away all acidity and alkalinity.
