much better low end on the 44's than 24's, but HF is about the same....both are very smooth sounding...you could run more "full range" with the 44's than the 24's.

yes, they lock and have a higher current rating for the contacts and are standard on most all PRO audio gear...along with the new True1 PowerCon, which is a 20A locking connector many speaker mfr. are leaning towards.

They are really good, but not the TTL6's , they do much better than the NXL24's , but the TTL6 is in a different league altogether...

I got the money to buy 4 NXL 44A or 4 RCF TT2A cabinets, but also I can buy 2 TTL6 cabinets. What do you think? The subs I'm using are 4 TTS26A.

I would go with 2 of the TTL6 boxes with the TTS26 subs... or 4 of the NXL44's , but the sound from the TTL6's is amazing...just be sure to run in crossover mode and not a full range signal to them

by the numbers, no - TTL6 is rated at 139db and the NXL44 is 134, 2 = 3db gain so 137 vs. 139. can you or i tell the difference, most likely not... bummer is they don't tell us at what frequency that was at for either one...

I think I will go with the TTL6A. They are just too amazing to not buy them. I found a client for my 4 X TT25A II speakers and those 2 TTL6's will replace them. I hope I made the good choice.

you have, with the ability to fly and stack 2 per side, and the 3 way box will just sound better IMO that a 2 way...it is like and HDL50 speaker turned vertical so to speak...

Hi, excellent review, huge fan. I want to know if I can use two nxl44a with two dual subs without using a processor's high pass filter for the nxl's?.

you can use the cross over output if they are available or high pass with a decent BW 24 or 48 setting. I would roll off low end around 90 to NXL44's and let subs do low end duty.

Do they have these in White? Also do you have experience when painting speaker cabinets? Will it affect performance in any way? I really want them in white for esthetics.

They don't have the 44 in white. But, we have painted some in the past with good results. You do have to remove the foam and get new white foam and reattaching is a bit of a pain not to get adhesive on the foam and grille, that is where all the performance trouble will be, a very meticulous change out, but a good epoxy based paint will last a LONG time

I am just going nuts with this decision. I just sold my Yorkville PSA1/1s rig (6 tops/6 subs) because I am looking at going with something more versatility that I can do the few big shows I get with 1000 audience and a crew to set up but split into two rigs and have one person set up. Within my budget I am probably looking at 4-6-8 8003as ii and 4 tops (either 24's or 44's). There are pluses and minuses to both cabinets. I am leaning to the 24's because of size/sound/cost but will 4 of them keep up with what I am looking to do with the bigger show vs. the 44's?

I think 6-8 of the 8003's will work with with 4 of the NXL24's , you will be amazed at the output of 4 of those in stacked configuration. The thing is to get them up on top of 2 of the 8003's so you have the height to cover the audience area. The NXL24's are amazing and very focused vertically.

Thanks for your response. But, the question must be asked, would I be better to go with the DB IG4T/sub18H setup? What do you think? From what I've seen, I'd be better on top but lose a bit on the bottom.

The more sub you can afford = better , IMO you never have too much SUB, better to have more and dial it back than not have enough and try to make the speakers and system do something it can't or won't...

I think I have to be brutally honest with myself and realize that I am not vertically gifted and not getting any younger. At some point that 20 pounds difference between the RCF and the dB is going to be beneficial when stacking. It appears there is almost no difference between the two cabinets in capabilities.

Me, i would go with the NXL24's tons of output,fantastic sound and much lighter and easier to set up and tear down than the 44's

just curious, what is your personal go to system of the RCF- db tech- FBT? which is your go to system.

we have 2 - for most of our events we do the RCF TT11A and TTS26A subs...but they discontinued the TT11 system, but it is amazing, just don't think they sold enough of them. For most everything else we do the db Tech IG4T with FBT SUBLINE 218SA subs, that rig will do 1000 peeps no issues, we can do 1500-2000 outdoors with the TT11A. We are looking at 4 of the TTL6A boxes to go with our TTS26A subs.

TTL6 is a 3 way box, NXL44 is only 2 way box , the TTL6 has more power and will be better in overall response due to 3 way design and components. Also has RDNET and it considered a PRO Touring type box, vs. the NXL44 as a top line , but not considered a PRO Touring type system.

That would work well, but the NXL44A will out run a single sub , you will need 2 per NXL44 to get a decent spread between the subs and top box.

Yes at the TT line uses the best of the best and a more refined DSP, speakers and amplifier. The NX sounds good, the TT sounds GREAT !

Hi there. I'm using 2 NX M15a's as tops and the 905AS for lows and I would like to upgrade my setup. In terms of loudness and quality, will the TT22a mk2 be better?

Almost a sideways trade off IMO. Same amount of power essentially. Look at the NXL24's and eventually going to 2 per side. Lots of output and they play very well when stacked and the top box inverted. You will need more sub at that point to keep up. SUB8004's would work or an SUB8006 if you have room.

We are a two-man team. The 8006 will be just too heavy for us. Maybe 4 8004s instead. We will upgrade our main tops soon and we would like to go on the TT line. Our maximum budget will allow us to buy 2 TTL6As or 4 TT25A mk2. We have a hard choice to make because the tt25a is a more portable speaker but we worry that 4 of them wont sound as good as 2 TTL6A. What would you do ? Thanks for answering my questions :)

If you can afford it TTL6's all the way...you won't be sorry and you can stack them like the NXL24's

yes for low end it does....in full range music play back is does nice on its own, but for bands and DJ work, you will need a sub to go with...a dual 18" will be needed to keep up.

As an owner of this rig ( 4 x NX44 and 4 x8004) I would say you probably need 2 x dual 18's per side. 4 of the NX44's can get pretty darn loud. The output of the NX44 seems much greater than the spec sheet would have you believe. You will def want to get cases or covers custom made for the NX44s as the finish gets scratched very easily during transport. I recommend Calzone Case or Tuki Covers.

Agreed...the NXL44 do get loud and clear, we used a single TTS36A sub and the NXL44 outran the sub. So 2 per side would be recommended for sure with 2 tops.
