I understand, but explain a short way to figure out bigger numbers. E.g Solve, x²-5x-84

That requires you know the factors of 84. So you could start with 1 and 84 Then 2 and 42 Then 3 doesnt work 4 : 21 5 doesnt work 6:14 and you keep going like that until the number on the left becomes bigger than right. 7:12 8: doesnt work 9 doesnt work 10 doesnt work 11 doesnt work 12: 7 but now left is bigger than right so we stop as we already have 7:12
