Man these arrangements and sound from the Boom give me chills. There is no HBCU band that can stand against the SBOTS this year. They are on an elite level. In every battle, I find myself fast forwarding the other bands just to get to the Boom's selection.

The R&B arrangement was so smooth. They sound so clean and like velvet. Come through Mellosssss and love hearing the woodwinds (indoor you can really hear them more) to balance out all the brass

Those Sonic Boom are the BEST!!! #1 in my book. They got cheated out of the ESPN Division I championship. I know band proformance the Sonic Booms was on point on everything. I would love to know what the judges saw or didn't see why they named NC the champions. The Booms needs to know so they can make some changes for next year. Come on judges come out and let us know what u saw or didn't see.

Dr.Little deserve this i literally watched him work with nothing and God touched this band and the whole staff even the ones we don’t see or know this is heaven on earth thank God for it all it’s so beautiful it’s nothing that we’ve ever heard before and omg them tuba and trumpets make a difference cause they already had everything else tbone baritones mellos woodwinds and at always been that but when they unleashed them dog and that trumpet line got right it’s been up since that 2019 band

I love both Dega and JSU's arrangements of I Know? by Travis Scott. However, I believe JSU has the better arrangement. Dega's mellos and euphos carry on their arrangement but its not as balanced like JSU.

There seems to be a trend in HBCU bands where every band's entire horn section just blows as loud as they possibly can. So apparently whoever is the loudest in competitions is deemed to have won??? It makes every band sound the same and there is little nuance and finesse. Some of these folks are going to have hearing problems when they get older. Lol. ijs.

Being loud doesn’t equate to being good , you can clearly hear the musicality in some bands vs the next plus the percussion will sound completely different so no, these bands don’t all sound the same. Typical SWAC band hate
