A trip to Parker Island on Gulf Mariner to have a family reunion and have a meet up with Bill who came along on Torphins. I also got to go on a ride on Ken's new 26ft US Navy Captains Gig. Cool!

@@edquier40 If I hear of an IS25 for sale I’ll be sure to make a short video that mentions it.

Yes it does. It always fires up instantly and never skips a beat. I just filled up my diesel tank 2 days ago and calculated that since the previous fill up the boat has been using 1.8 litres of diesel per hour. I thought it was a mistake until I remembered that I haven’t been cooking with my diesel stove at all since the last fill up.

Would love to have joined you, Llew. Despite the bit of chop and occasional ominous skies, it looked like a fairly smooth trip.

Does that engine noise seem loud while you are driving? Seems loud on camera. I know engine is right below you but can you sound proof it more?
@topfunguy22817 жыл бұрын
DIY Boats I can talk at a normal level when underway. You can certainly hear the engine but it's not unpleasant. It's actually quite reassuring that no mater how rough the conditions are the engine noise never fluctuates or skips a beat. I've got the engine compartment insulated quite well so it must just sound loud on the video.

I'm assuming "Gulf Mariner" is the name you gave your vessel? If so, who makes/made this vessel?
@topfunguy22813 жыл бұрын
It was made by Independent Shipwrights in Coombs B.C. Canada. It is called an IS25. There were somewhere between 15 and 20 of them made.

@@topfunguy2281 Thanks for your quick response! I did check out this company/organization, they're tiny! Only 1.3 million in revenues this year.

@@leonardbreau8928 They used to make lots of commercial vessels of various sizes but I think found it difficult to compete. They mostly make fibreglass tanks for the fish farming industry now but still work on the odd boat.

polygamous1 Sozou You are right of course. I used my iPad for all of these videos and was pretty sloppy with the work. I may try to see if I can get it a bit more refined.
