Damn, can you please stop whining about the aircraft change? The CSeries is a new plane and you'll have thousands of opportunities to fly it in the future. However the 737-300's lifetime is slowly coming to an end so be happy that you have flown on this soon historical aircraft!

Same. I'd be dying to fly on a 737-300 or -200. And heck, yes, the cabin looks dated, and old-fashioned, but it is intact, clean, and does the damn job. But they often complain about the cabin "looking old", despite it being acceptably comfortable.

The thing in that case is, that the passenger experience on Air Baltic is depending a lot on the aircraft you travel with. I booked this trip to fly with the CS300 and being changed to the 733 is certainly a downgrade of the whole flight. Of course old planes can be cool and interesting but a regular passenger wants to get a solid product.

A regular passenger on LCC know what they letting themselves into. They don't expect luxury, they want to fly cheap. And with the 733, Air Baltic can only accomplish that with as much pax as possible, I guess. It's not that you complained about the uncomfortable seat (and to be honest, it didn't look that tight, you still seemed to be able to stretch your legs a bit ... but of course, a video can deceive on perspective), it is just that you didn't take that into consideration - "it is just bad, and the CS300 would have been so much better." That was the undertone, and ... it's not constructive, and that is what ticked me off about it. I get that you say the pax comfort really depends on the plane, but you seemed just butthurt about the aircraft change xD I also remember the trip report about TUIfly to LEPA, where you said "the seat is comfortable, but just quite old" - who cares if it is old, if it is comfortable and clean?

I had the same experience with the misaligned window. It was the first time I took my Go Pro and suction cup onboard, I was all ready to go...until I sat down and realized I didn’t have a window...lol. Go Pro back in the bag, took a nap instead. That was on a CRJ900.

The two missing windows on the boeing 737 , is simply because the air conditioning system goes from under the aircraft and climb to the top of the aircraft and this system has to go in that "wall" so that is why you have thoes missing windows on each side 😉

Since im latvian i love my airline i like the fact that theyre replacing boeings with cs3s/a220s but i still wish they will keep the dash 8s and all news reports say that theyll replace the whole fleet with cs3s.... therye kinda becoming ryanair pt.2 cause they now offer flights from malta to different countries and their fleet will be all the same aircraft i really hope theyre keeping the dashes cause we have flights like helsinki riga which are very short and yes they can be operated by an a220 but the dash is just so much better for those kind of things

Why are you rating the inflight-entertainment when there is none by default? Same with complimentary food/drinks? Normally, you would do the n.a. thing and exclude that from the overall rating, as far as I have seen. When you count that in, you are basically comparing a LC to a carrier like Lufthansa, which is hardly fair. The repeated moaning about the aircraft change was a bit obnoxious, though, same with the "cabin looks old" - doesn't matter if it looks old, as long as it works, and is clean. Yes, the 733 has less legroom. Because? Less fuel-efficient, so you have to fit in more pax to make profit. To compare that to a modern jet, that allows even LC airlines a bit more spacious seating, is neither fair nor constructive. But oh well, in the end: Your channel, your rules, I still liked the trip report, you never fail to present high qualitiy content.

We indeed changed our rating system. The part „inflight entertainment“ includes also the inflight magazine. That’s why it has at least 3/10. We are rating the complimentary services now on every flight to be able to compare low-cost, hybrid and full service models. If we exclude parts with n/a depending on the airline the rating would not clarify any differences between the airlines and almost any airline would get about the same total rating. Maybe we have to make this easier to understand in the future. So thanks for your feedback.

Okay, maybe I missed that trip report where you explained that, sry for that. I still think you are comparing "Äpfel mit Birnen", and you should indeed be very clear about the change in your rating system. You don't compare an Opel Astra to a Mercedes S-Klasse, don't you ;-) But: Since you show everything about a flight, everyone can come to their own conclusion, and you are often very clear whether you liked the experience on board or not, and that is good! Maybe I am just too worried that people are to focused on the rating numbers. Thanks for your clarification and have a nice Sunday!
