The A220's are really passenger friendly. I'm a big fan.

US Customs are offered in Canada to help facilitate better connections and allow for service to more airport, mainly LGA, without having to offer on-site facilities at the arrival airports.

I have from time to time flown on Air Canada around Canada. The one point I find is the Air Canada folk are very kind, considerate and helpful or you caught them on a bad day. Never just helpful and professional. Last trip, I was dragged by my elbow from the line to get the boarding pass and told I had to use the on line machine, NO exceptions. I am 72 and not into new fangled gadgets, I like the personal touch. Then at the gate the Air Canada folk were very pleasant.

The hour getting your bags isn't Air Canada's fault. Its the company who is contracted for ground services. 😊

I work at Pearson. Air Canada does not use a 3rd party company for their ground services, unlike Westjet with Menzies ground and Sunwing with Swiss Port ground.

I really like the A220 flew AC Montreal to Halifax last year, sat on left window seat flight was only 1:45 mins by the time we got to cruising alt it didnt seem long after that we were descending for Halifax, only drawback aircraft was late getting into gate at Montreal so about 1 hr delay

Air Canada not on time, what a shock... 4 out of my last 5 AC flights were delayed

Trust me bro. I'm a fueler at YYZ, and working at terminal 1 is just horrid. For example, when I get dispatched a flight to service with a departure time at 9:10am, it doesn't get towed to the gate till 8:40. We aren't allowed to connect to the plane until the bridge is attached. Then they expect what would take 30-40 minutes to fuel, to be done in 15. Not only that, but AC's ground service will block you from being able to park to fuel the plane. They can load baggage and cargo in a plane, and put food on a plane - not sure where this plane will go without fuel.

This is SAD how airlines in North America, even full service airlines (not LCC), can get away with not serving ANYTHING to eat for 5-6 hours flights. Pathetic.

There are more than enough buy on board options. Plus you can get things to eat beforehand at the airport.

OP is correct to an extent and Canadian Aviator is wrong to an extent. With the high prices legacy airlines charge, you should be getting more included in the price. Rouge is the worst though(some might call them budget but they have budget service but AC prices) However, if we’re talking about budget airlines like Flair, Spirit, and Frontier, Canadian Aviator is correct and that you can buy something onboard or in the airport since their fares are much more reasonable. At least most of the time, but it depends on the season and how far in advance you book. If you’re very flexible, they are a great deal. Yes… I know the fees, but they can be avoided if you are smart.

@@canadianaviatorI’m a retired teacher who is regular flier. I REFUSE to pay airport prices for something I really can’t eat unless I have to. Try being a celiac diabetic. Both the airport and plane have NOTHING I can eat, so I have to take snacks with me. Last time I looked, an old apple was $2 each. Gross.

Air Canada is an excellent airline besides what, mostly self-righteous Canadians, say … it is safe, reliable and food, OK, they should have served some, but wait, ticket price would have gone up and no one would have liked that … regardless, nice video!

Tickets prices are pretty much the same in Australia , they still serve food on cross continental ( country) trips ! Stop making excuses for this company that has been bailed more than once from our pockets and continues to refuse concurrence because they know they’ll go bankrupt !
