I am flying on Horizon Air from SJC-LAX-SJC in First Class coming up. Its totally work the ticket price with checked luggage, lounge access and of course the good snacks and drinks. I usually go for a Woodford Reserve, Gin and Tonic , Crater Lake Espresso Vodka in the AM and a good Cabernet Wine and Craft Beer in the PM! A few years back I used 25,000 AA miles for a First Class one way from SJC-SEA-DFW-Santa Fe. The SJC-SEA-DFW was done in First Class on Alaska with Boardroom Access at SEA , AMEX Centurion Lounge at DFW with breakfast and a shower. At SJC I went into the Club@SJC. The short DFW-Santa Fe was done on AA in Coach as it was an ERJ without First Class but did get a complimentary snack and alcoholic beverages.

I mean it makes sense, most people flying on a redeye will want to go to sleep as soon as possible and not want to be bothered by meal service. Only meal I've ever gotten on a redeye was on a United PS EWR-LAX and they referred to it as a snack, though it was the size of a small meal. @John Monks

I do a fair amount of air travel (1 million on American/life time status) and IMHO, Alaskan is nothing special. The “snack” is, well, underwhelming for First Class Coast-Coast flight and the Prosecco is a poor mans idea of champagne. Thanks for your presentation. I’m glad my curiosity was answered. I’ll stay with American/One World. I’ve viewed trip reports on Jet Blue & Delta and from those I think you would have had better value for the buck 👍🏻

Will wonders ever cease? Quintin actually flying HOME? What,is he ill? :) So you arrive at JFK at 530AM ET,how wide awake were you upon arrival? Did you get some long needed sleep in your own bed? This last outing via MSP and Sacramento,I don't think you ever slept at anybody's home, you simply grabbed a nap or two on airplanes,constantly on the move--your lavatory segment,looked like you washed your hands before filming,seeing the soap suds in the sink--don't know what FF programs you belong to but they got a workout with this jaunt to the west coast! Any idea how much turnaround time your aircraft had at JFK?
