Beautiful aircraft but embarrassing service. Delta this past January served a full hot meal then a hot sandwich before landing in coach from Minneapolis to Honolulu. I hope AA has upped their game a little.

I would have to do the routes now that there are not many restrictions. But the Chicago - Honolulu route with AA is no longer active.

Not anymore, they stopped operating the route, so now it's just United.

looks cramped, how tall are you? Flew Southwest 737 800max super comfy w lots of leg room from Las to HNL want to either fly united or hawaiian next trip to Oahu

I am 5'10", and yes, American's B787s feel a little bit cramped compared to their B777s. You should fly Hawaiian, they are great! 😊

Well edited . Taking two nieces , a nephew and my sister to Maui on this equipment from DFW in December . When I flew the same flight last April they had changed the meal from half a sad little chicken wrap another utuber got to a full two piece wrap . Maybe he shamed them? Its a great plane and AA is professional for sure but not enough food. Did they have snack boxes for sale ?

During this flight they did not have anything for sale, but now it may be different, hopefully. I definitely have to check out that flight soon!

Looking at the flight date I think AA conveniently used the pandemic as an excuse to serve virtually nothing like all the other carriers did. Last April I got a pretty substantial spicy chicken wrap with chips and a brownie - 787-9 DFW to OGG. This December knowing the bean counters at AA - maybe a bowl of steam 🙂

What Delta was serving at the time was pathetic. The snack box economy passengers had on American is what Delta served to its first class passengers.

They don't operate it anymore, United is the only one left operating to Honolulu from Chicago.

Unfortunately yes, hopefully they give some food now. Though the Chicago-Honolulu route with AA is no longer active.
