TRIP REPORT | British Airways | Boeing 777-200 | Newark Liberty - London Heathrow

Join me on my latest trip report heading from Newark Liberty (EWR) to London Heathrow (LHR) after spending a week in New York City. Find out why my aircraft is a rare and special 777 and see what my second only time flying with BA is like. More specifacally, it is one of the 9 777 non ER that Boeing made with GE90 engines. 5 were built for British Airways (3 in service with BA, one sold to Gabon, and one scrapped) and 4 were built for China Southern (3 stored, 1 scrapped). The 300 non ER required more power than the 200 non ER and has the same power as the 200ER, but Boeing did not build a single 300 non ER with GE90s. Another quirk for BA (British Airways) and BA (Boeing) is that they are the only airline to put RB211s on a whole bunch of Boeing 767s, aside from three 767-3W0ERs built for China Yunnan Airlines, and all Boeing 757s with the RB211-535C engines (not to be confused with the RB211-535E) that haven't been scrapped were all built for British Airways.

well said and if you are wondering British Airways did operate B767-336/er RB211 on LHR-EWR 2004-2016 when the B787-8/-9 started to replace them on London Heathrow to Newark Airport. Service wise BA B767-336/ER > UA B767-322/ER on LHR-EWR

A GE-90 aircraft roars from Heathrow to NYC in about 3 hours and a half when the air pressure is about 3.5 hours per valve cycle of a 3.5 valve of a 3.5 valve cycle of an old aircraft that shows its age a few times during the day.
