TRIP REPORT - IBERIA (Economy Class) - Airbus A330 - Shanghai Pudong to Madrid

I had flown them several times and I have had no problem with them. Some years ago they let me enter inside the cockpit. Also I personally think their A340 is more comfortable than their A330 (I have flown in both). The crew were nice with me maybe you were simply unlucky or it wasn’t their day. Btw I really enjoy your videos. Keep it up!!! ;)

Thank you for your opinion. Maybe I've actually catched a terrible crew this time, but also Iberia's customer service seems to be unacceptable. It is a pity that this airline is Spain's flag carrier - with that poor customer service at least. The flight would have been great with some extra legroom and a better crew.

The fact that you cannot film the crew on board Iberia flights is not because the airline forbids it. It's actually a Spanish law and as once you step inside any Iberia aircraft you're under the Spanish law... you must follow the rules. And I am very concerned and I feel sorry for your experience on that flight. I am also Cabin Crew for Iberia on their long-haul fleet, I love my job and I always try to feel every one as at home, I love being able to solve problems and issues and making every passenger feel as happy as possible while flying with us. You simply caught a bad flight, we do have, VERY UNFORTUNATELY some elder crew members that just simply wanna retire as soon as possible. Please accept my apologies on behalf of Iberia I really encourage you to give us another chance to make your next trip mindblowing!

Thank you very much for your answer! If I ever get the chance to fly Iberia again, I may try it. I wasn't planning to film the crew members though, I was just filming the flight itself as in every other trip report. Yet I hope that IB's customer service will reply to my complaint asap, I've already been waiting for almost two months by now. Thanks again for your lovely comment and for taking the time to write it, I really appreciate that! :)

the passenger has the right to recline. if you don't like it, then fly business/first, that's why they exist

Of course he has the right to, but it is NOT okay if it disturbs or even hurts (just as in my case) other people.

I see it the other way around. Do you want to recline as if your seat is a business class one? Then pay one business class ticket. Respect should be the rule, not selfishness.

Here's what I do with excessive "recliners". Bang the back of the seat - I know rude, but so are they. Just keep apologising ;-). Sorry, sorry i had to move my leg. Eventually they get it :-D

Actually that's what I did, but she immediately called the crew. They ignored the fact that my knees were hurt from her reclining and thought that the lady was right.

I am 1.90 cm tall. I HATE people reclining as if they were laying back on the beach, too lol.
