I remember once I flew with jet2 and there was no jet away magazine in my seat pocket, instead I had an extra sick bag 🤣🤣

That's a nice looking 757. And thanks for the tip about the bus service to the airport! - Red

Great trip report. I miss flying on the B752 often.

Thanks, they were my most flown aircraft type by distance until late 2019 but this is the only one I’ve been on since 2012!

Lovely video and on the best aircraft! Can’t beat a bit of 757 action 👍

Thanks, I quite agree! Easily the best aircraft type currently in use on regular Intra-European flights

Love the 757 ❤️ Great video and agree so going to miss them when they’re retired over the next few years! Also, you must be the only person I know that says Jet2 legroom is poor 😂

Thanks, the 757 is excellent and I’ll really miss them when they’re gone. A shame you now have to go to Manchester to experience such a nice aircraft.

@@NewcastleFlyer Agreed! Would be fab if they distributed around the country more! But hey ho, A321neo's are on there way.
@NewcastleFlyer2 жыл бұрын
@@aviationadam_7386 Will the 321neos actually be distributed or just based at the largest bases in BHX/LBA/MAN/STN?
@aviationadam_73862 жыл бұрын
@@NewcastleFlyer I've been told distributed around as they will become the main aircraft along with the B738's. Bases like NCL could benefit from having the neo's especially when we have 3x PMI flights in a day on B738s for example, so I'd like to think they'd also think this. I'm hopeful anyways!
@NewcastleFlyer2 жыл бұрын
@@aviationadam_7386 🤞🏻then for a bit of variety, I recall it now being 3.5+ years since I was on one of the final 737-300 flights from NCL. I just hope if we were to get them they’d not come at the expense too much of frequency, 2x PMI in a day is great as you can just go for the day😂

When are Jet2 retiring these?
@aviationadam_73862 жыл бұрын
Between 2023-24 at the latest when the A321neos arrive.

I don’t think a date exists at the moment, but numbers are dwindling and they won’t be around for that much longer. I reckon the last will go by the end of Summer 2024.

Great report but sadly im not a fan of the B757 i like the jet2 737 A320 And A321

I wish they would bring back IFE on these types of flights over 3hours, especially on 757, a screen every couple of rows and Jack point in armrest like in the good old days,with the emergence of easyjet/ryanair being basically taxis in the sky(although they are cheaper then an actual taxi!), the in-flight experience is quite bland, with airlines focusing on scratch cards etc to increase revenue instead of charging a bit more per seat for a better overall experience. Great video nonetheless, happy travels

Thanks and I completely agree. I remember when I first flew Jet2 in 2010 it was a 757 much like this from Newcastle to Rhodes, a 4 hour flight where IFE was offered for a small fee. 12 years on and 3 days ago I flew on the exact same flight on a 737-800, a less interesting, smaller aircraft with no offer of entertainment. USBs would be lovely, but given these aircraft are sadly on the way out I’d really not hold out much hope for them.
