TRIP REPORT | WestJet - 737 600 - New York (LGA) to Toronto (YYZ) | Economy

Welcome to another trip report!
On January 18, I flew on a WestJet 737-600 from New York LaGuardia Airport to Toronto Pearson International Airport. The 737-600 was the Boeing's 737 Next Generation family's smallest varient. A total of 69 737-600s have been produced, the last aircraft was delivered to WestJet in 2006.
I wasn't expecting a good flight, as the only other time I had flown them was coming home from Toronto last year. That flight wasn't good: • TRIP REPORT | WestJet ...

Is it weird that I really enjoyed listening to the interaction between the mother and child? It may have been a little loud for the other passengers but she was constantly engaging with her daughter, helping her understand the world around her and build language skills. It seems like the interactions helped calm the child down quickly when she got upset, as toddlers often do. Anyway, nice trip report. I'll check out more of your videos.

Mark Small Not weird at all. I do wish that parents would teach their children to be quieter though. They are cute, but very noisy sometimes! I think parents forget that not everyone likes to hear the incessant chatter of a child. So, in order to make my travel more pleasant, noise cancelling headphones are a must!

The cute part about them is how stubby they are. It just looks so funny, not-right, yet adorable. While the regional jets (CRJ, Embraer 170, etc.) aren’t as large, their fuselage is smaller than the A318 and 737-600. That’s why they don’t look as stubby.

736 has a unique wing today. The other 737NG have got the winglet, and it's hard to imagine a 737NG wing without winglet🙃

737-600 did not have an option for winglets, unlike other NGs. It is true that most 737 NGs have winglets, the -600 and other occasional planes are exceptions

I hate those annoying kids. I know it might be nervewracking for them, and it's the parent's fault. You KNOW that if you don't care ready, people will wanna kill you. I took a red-eye flight from Minneapolis to Boston on JetBlue and I saw about 5 little kids and I was like, oh crap. But when we settled in, it was very quiet onboard and there wasn't one scream or cry. Kudos to those parents.

Ah the Boeing 737 Next Generation Series. One of my favorite narrowbody aircraft! I have only gotten to fly the -700 and -800 variant on Southwest back in 2016 for our Rose Bowl Parade Trip when I was in the marching band in high school. Sorry that you're flight wasn't good. The -600 are a beautiful bird but sadly are being phased out. Great trip report man!

I live in Halifax and flew the a321 from Toronto!! It was a great trip and the a321 has an old interior but you still get the inflight entertainment screens. Hope you enjoy your trip!

Air Canada is hit and miss not as good as westjet. I fly Air Canada alot overall they are not that great .

UGH.....LGA. I'm from NYC, and I dealt with Newark, LaGuardia and JFK the entire time I was growing up. Believe me, Newark is the nicest of the three. ANYWAY, I live out in California now, and I VASTLY prefer the airports in the SF/Bay Area to the ones in NYC. The last time I flew through JFK was in 2015 when I went to Europe. HORRID experience as ALWAYS.
