yea waiting at the airport that long sucks, but in the face of a potential severe weather event its better safe than sorry. Personal experience, I was flying home from Boston in the face of a blizzard / ice storm a handful of years ago and they actually bumped my flight up 2 hours .... guess who didn't check his e-mail
