Please look at these videos. Especially the ferry. You can get a heads up when bringing the car on it and parking right at the dock

Thanks for the video! I'm going to the island this week, but I have a huge fear of boats, so this helped me to know what to expect.

You will be fine it’s a big boat and not much rock. But plan to spend at least 4 hrs as the boat returns every 4hr or so. Thank you for watching and your comments. Have a great trip

Thanks for this video! I'm going in July and taking our car on the island. Are there places to eat there? Or should we pack a picnic?
@ACanadianRVereh2 жыл бұрын
There is a bar restaurant right where the boat docks and I haven’t been there this year I believe they’re open but in a better way pack a nice lunch there’s a lot of great places to stop along the road where they have great picnic areas and you can see the lake from there Thanks for watching and your comments please share

So you're not allowed to drive your own car out of the hold,they have employees/valet parking people who do it ? Or is it just wandering, waiting people they're worried about - you can take your own car out? Thanks so much for this video, haven't been to point pelee in ages - never been on the island. Are you local to this area ? Or just traveling? Would be so cool if the cafe's that direction actually served cattails and tiger lilies ,amongst other native plant food,that would be a curious cuisine to try.
@ACanadianRVereh2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and your comment yes you can drive your own vehicle on they have an attendant that will show you where to stop and park your vehicle and you will then drive your vehicle off the boat when it arrives to either one side or the other we are local to this area and know it quite well. When I did the video we were in lockdown so the cafeteria on the ship was not available but I believe it’s available now we plan to do a new video in the coming months

@@ACanadianRVereh thanks 😊. Cafe just serve standard cafe type food/drinks,or true Canadian Agri/home grown food (farm stand sandwiches, ethnic food, Pelee grown grape etc.) ? By the way,how much is the current passenger fare? Park passes don't apply there, right? Any costs, maps,and tidbits to know about would be nice. Happy summer 😍.

@@ingridpear1882 The round trip fee for one person walking on with a bicycle to see the island is $20 round-trip approximately. And if you’re going to use the ferry they recommend if you’re just walking on to call ahead and make sure that they have space for the walk on you don’t have to pay for it online you can pay for it at the booth

It's not known as the red stairway. The crew put red film on the lights to keep the bugs from being attracted to the lights. Bugs cannot see the colour red.
