Great Summary of your training approach,Joe. Thanks for taking the time to share. I've been utilizing the principles of tri phasic training with my HS and youth athletes with great initial results. Your deliberate emphasis on teaching and increasing absolute & relative strengths by sticking with the basics can't be stated enough. Thanks again for sharing.

I really like this series of videos. I interned at MBSC this summer, so of course I am very familiar with how they do things there and it's definitely enriching for me to learn about how and why you program your athletes.

Sir. On your board you list Plyo withe words 'stop' and 'start'. Can you take a moment to clarify?

Robert! MBSC has established the standard for athletic development, what a great place to learn and get real coaching experience. I've had a conversation with Mike about this earlier this year (brief convo) in which it was clear that even if you dont apply the rigid "Triphasic" emphasis, you end up coaching young athletes this way anyways. Slow to Fast..common sense coaching. Thanks for the comments!

What do you recommend your 3 Olympic lifts to be for each day? Thanks!

great video, would you alternate the exercises from week to week through the program so that each core lift i.e. squat/DL/Bench each get a turn on a day two. So athletes can push their limits on each exercise ?

give some examples of how this approach actually worked with your athletes.

The whole video is examples of how he implements it, what more do you need? If it doesn't make sense, like he says read the triphssic book.

Do you apply top end speed and acceleration training in the blocks? If so, in which days and where do you put it?
