I think this was a well overdue update on the FP EDC …it’s been a while…and this video is refreshing man! 🤩👌I have put mine up for sale several times this past month, but I think I’m just going to hang on to it now…it is still a very relevant pack.

Let me tell you, after just a few days with the EDC is quickly become my favorite. The interior pocket layout is very functional and I love it. I installed a GR1-size Field Pocket on the inside for an additional compartment...love it.

Another great review, I almost always have a Litespeed on hand. My current LS is a woodland. my only criticism is it’s a bit too strappy.

Haha, too strappy. That’s a great way to put it. You know you can take 90% of them off? That’s a good idea for a photo - get it all stripped down…👍🏻👍🏻

@@JBOutside1 I cut all of the straps off of one a while ago and it was a much different pack, lighter and easier to use. Of course I traded it for something else. Story of my life.

How would you compare the « real » capacity with the Bullet? I was eyeing through a Scout but it seems that its 15L are really smaller than the Bullet’s.

Depends on what you’re talking about. If you’re asking about the Scout, it does feel small compared to the Bullet because the way the volume is divided up. For the Litespeed I’d say it’s pretty comparable to the 21L GR1. The volume is a bit deceiving because of the dimensions (the LS is narrower) but it’s def bigger than the Bullet.

Many thanks for your review. I am still not sure if I go for a FAST PACK EDC Classic with all the webbing or the new FAST PACK SE VX42. From the look I def. prefer the classic FAST PACK EDC but is the VX42 material that much better? Im not a big fan of this shiny material but It could be better than the 1000D Cordura.

Both! Just kidding. I really like the 1000D versions of the Litespeed better. I personally am waiting for those to restock before trying out the EDC version.

Question: Does the VX42 feel more comfortable that the 1000D? My Rucker 3.0 in 1000D was so unconfortable for the first few months. Also, and maybe you addressed this and I didn't catch it, does pack have a reinforced backing or hard cover plate of some kind? Was there any indication from TAD that they would be addressing the pilling issue? I can see that potentially being an issue if the pack is used outdoors as an operations go/assault pack.

“comfort” is relative I suppose. VX42 is nothing like cordura obviously. I went with 500D (there isn’t a 1000D option in the Armory) and love it. My 1000D version is nice too. Overall I prefer cordura slightly in most cases. I haven’t heard of any fix for the pilling.

Lots of factors there. Personal preference being a prime one. How you’ll use is also a big one.

Like you have to buy accessories to put water bottle on the outside, and putting on the inside is a big no because you can spill water on your goods like camera or laptop. All backpack always have external water bottle pocket years ago I don't understand why so many makers remove them on newer bags
