Akka I will help him Assum you received a cheque of 5000 on 5th January What will be in cash book Debit side, To mohan a/c 5000(bank column) Then,on 8th mohan cheque was dishonoured So,as cheque was not passed in bank we didn't received any amount so we have to cancel it by passing entries in opposite side And generally how much amount is not received that amount will be cancelled So,it will be By Mohan a/c 5000(bank column)
