Thanks for the feature! Yes, a togekiss out back destroys this team, and especially if they have a shield advantage. Double charm also is almost completely unwinnable. There's literally only one win con and it involves getting Palkia aligned against the lead dragon (and even this can get ruined if just 1 extra charm sneaks through onto Dialga and Giratina at any point when you throw charged moves). But against all else, it can do some serious damage and it got me to Legend these past 3 seasons 🙂

Why did you come in with giratina instead of palkia in the first match after the dialga mirror?

@@peterpokemon9777 Since that was my 4th battle against that exact opponent that season, I was pretty sure I knew what his backline was going to be (and I'm sure he knew what mine was as well). At that point in the battle, Ho-oh had such a huge energy lead, so I figured that Palkia was going to be more valuable against both his Giratina-O and Ho-oh. I sent in Giratina to be a damage sponge/force Ho-oh to burn energy because Gira-O can handle a BB better than Palkia. I was expecting him to throw 1 BB then bail immediately, and then at that point, Gira-O could've thrown a move at whatever he had in the back with the small energy lead it would've had, either forcing a shield or doing good damage. But he didn't. The build to 100 energy took me by complete surprise and then by that point, Gira had built up so much energy that I figured I shouldn't let it go to waste and used my last shield. Then I was also a little slow switching to Palkia and that nearly cost me. Sorry if I keep changing my response. I'm terrible at getting thoughts across in a comprehendible way 😅

They definitely are the best boxart trio core. All of them are well rounded in their individual species stats and can also fight against the others' weaknesses. I'd love to give the Weather Trio a try for a new video but I currently lack the candy to power up a Rayquaza. But once I'll do, I'll send in the battle footage.

i really like that most of the match is going through the same pattern.. 1. Dialga lead, try to play it out if its good/balance lead ,but swap to O-Giratina if met with fairy/steel 2. Giratina takes opponents shield/ chipping enemies of the opposing pokemon, baiting fairies 3. Dialga comes back in to probably take it out, or grab enemies second shield 4. BELIEVE IN PALKIA SUPREMACY....

Is dragon pulse a better second move? I have ominous wind as the second move and other than one successful bait I’m losing a lot to Garchomp

In open ML, I believe DP is better. With even just a slight energy advantage, Giratina-O can flip some bad matchups and can actually fight back against normals and darks. In a lot of HSH's ML videos from this past week, you'll see quite a few Giratina's get absolutely walled due to having no play against normals and darks. In classic ML, an all ghost moveset is better, but seeing as ML Classic looks like it's going to remain a thing of the past, I suggest switching to DP/SB.

Isnt Thunder better on Dialga? Its helpful against Melmetal, Kyogre, Gyarados and Metagross.

Thunder does about 50-60% hp to Metagross*

DM does more damage onto Melmetal, Metagross, and most notably Excadrill, if it comes down to the wire and all shields are gone.

@@anuze9500 Addendum: As for Kyogre, both Giratina and especially Palkia can handle it very well. So no need to worry about it. Gyarados does become tougher to deal with, but since they're not as common as the aforementioned steels, you want to have the move that does more damage to them.

Melmetal leads would get treated like Excadrill leads. Switch to Giratina and then see what they send in to meet it. If they have Dialga to meet it, that usually means Kyogre, MS Garchomp, or Gira-O in the back and that's where Palkia would be able to come in clutch. If Togekiss gets sent in, it's basically going to be a bad time for the team. It all depends on what their SS is and then just try and go from there.
