@@bboytroy16 yeah that one good too, but the reason why his match with Lesnar more memorable to me is probably because it's one of HHH last few memorable matches. When I was watching it live, I knew something's different. He's getting old, and finally the realization strikes me... This maybe few matches he had left, and I was crying at the thought of his imminent retirement. Of course I have absolutely no problem about it, but its just like I'm a kid once more and bawling that my favorite wrestler won't wrestle anymore. That's a bit too much.

Triple H is probably one of the most devisive wrestlers I've seen in my life. Half the fans love him for his work and how long he has been in the business, and others hate how he often buries other wrestlers and is constantly in the spotlight (especially during his "Reign of Terror" from the early to mid 2000s) even saying he isn't that good of a wrestler. While I do agree there are plenty of moments I do not agree with Triple H with (*coughBookerTcough*) but that doesn't take away how awesome he was overall. He started one of the greatest more modern stables ever in Evolution, has had amazing matches and feuds with Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, The Undertaker, etc. Not to mention all he has done for the NXT brand before Vince took complete control over it. His health isn't the best right now but I am wishing him a speedy recovery. He's future a future Hall of Famer that's for damn sure

I'm glad I woke up and watched this all the way through. I never followed Triple H as much as I did others years and years ago, and this really opened a new viewing of everything for me. It's honestly crazy how the pacing of his career went, because while he had some downs, he always had a great pacing and seeing everything from the 90s up to now tie in in a way is fascinating. He also had a great unknown final match, if it is his last. Truly amazing.

It's so wild that back when I was in middle school (2006 - 2008) we were watching the last of the greats wrestle from both the Attitude Era and the "Golden Era" with Undertaker, HBK, HHH, Randy, Edge, etc. So many good line-ups back in the day. 1. Mysterio 2. Chavo (underrated) 3. MVP (underrated) 4. Bobby Lashley 5. Finley 6. CM Punk 7. Morrison and the Miz (before the whole "I'm Awesome" phase and back when they were a tag team) 8. The Boogyman Just to name a few, I remember seeing all of those guys very regularly and now I realize how much I took it for granted. Or it just triggers my nostalgia to see how old these guys have gotten and how things are moving on. I'm still young at 27 but it's crazy how time fucks you up.

People criticize HHH unfairly for his rise in the late 99 and early 2000s but the fact is that he was ready for the major push in 1997 but due to the massive popularity of Stone Cold and Rock his push was delayed to late 99. His run in the 2000s onward was perfectly deserved.

While Triple H does have a few bad situations in his career that made him a controversial figure at times, I don't think there has been or will be anyone else in the business that has a much love for wrestling as he does. He's stuck around for almost his entire life, regardless of if he's the one on top or like his current role of helping to get people to reach that high...
