He did define the Attitude Era. It don't matter how he did it he did it. He was a big part of the Attitude Era along with them wrestlers you named. Triple H and Shawn Micheals were friends way before they formed Shawn's group. Don't let tv confuse you with reality he was also a nice guy backstage when people talk about him its nothing but nice things. Triple H reached the top because he was entertaining and he could sell a match. He always found ways to reinvent himself with or without help.

In all honesty I think Bret Hart had the biggest role in starting the attitude era. From the promo where he shoved Vince McMahon on his ass, to the match with Stone Cold at Wrestlemania 13. He had one of the biggest roles and getting Stone Cold over that night and Stone Cold has said the same thing. Also when Bret got screwed was a huge part in the attitude era because it gave stone cold a villain in Mr. McMahon to feud with. No bret means no stone cold or vince.

Well he did help to start the Attitude era in the WWF/WWE. DX started it. Shawn and Triple H went to Vince with the idea of DX, he said it would never work, but he devided after them pestering him about it to give it a go. Because it was so successful he expanded the idea into the rest of the company and the Attitude era was born.

She said "he almost defined the attitude and was certainly a huge component of it"....Now if you were to ask Steve Austin a question like that in kayfabe he would be quite humble in his response and he would mention other wrestlers...the BEGINNING of the Era cannnot have DX in the equation because the Attitude Era started way way before DX was formed. How can you refute a timeline? Vince mentioned Attitude Era years before DX formed.

It's interesting that when WWE released the Attitude Era computer game; they did a special version with Stone Cold on the cover...he sold more t-shirts then anyone else...Austin 3:16 is still the best selling wrestling merchandise to date. Is Austin didn't start the Era; he sure defined it...not HHH. BUT to answer your question....VINCE McMahon began the attitude era. It was his brain child so to speak. Peace.

DX were PART of the Era as you have correctly stated...BUT and it's a big but...they did not start it...Austin ushered the Era. Don't let your affinity for HHH cloud your rational judgement. The timeline does not lie. AUSTIN 3:16 was around before HHH had even formed DX with HBK. HBK was still a tag team with Austin at that point,. Facts based on data that cannot be refuted dear sir.
