When people look at a story, the hero is usually the least powerful in the conflict. Of Punk fired back. How he conducted himself was very unprofessional even though the majority of what he said was probably true. Then The Elite being the professional EVPs they are stormed into his locker room(3 on 1) and instigated a fight. *They’re ALL at fault and all of them should be suspended without pay for about a month till things cool down.* Also, Tony Khan should strip the EVP title from The Elite and also restructure his core team and appoint level-headed people who are actually capable of handling business.

It has already been shown, and this is not the first time, that Tony Khan is someone without leadership. Say what you want about Vince but he wouldn't let this kind of thing happen in his company. From the first day that Tony gave creative freedom to his fighters, to his WORKERS, it was clear that this was not going the right way. He now has a big mess of egos for so many superstars that he has backstage and that he never knew how to control. With this it is more than clear that Tony is not a businessman, he is a rich boy who is playing to form his wrestling company and the game is running out for him.

To be fair, pipebombs were all fun and games to people untill they realize how unprofessional that is. CM punk's pipebomb in WWE actually made me dislike him even back then, whereas fans were going crazy about it and overhyped this selfish dude. All I could think of was that, this guy is not easy to work with at all.
@kuyt202 жыл бұрын
Pipebombs and shoot promos are the cheapest ways to get smarks in your corner(because they love to be part of a 'rebellion against the man'. Y'know, the kind that's for people who don't think too often). Punk used that in 2011 to make WWE creative think he is worth more than he really is when smarks started cheering for him. The truth is, he was a poor draw despite what smarks want you to believe. His title run dropped RAW ratings to record lows (at the time) and his merch didn't sell all that well either. Which is why they let a part-timer take it off him at the Rumble. LOL The truth about shoot promos is that its only safe to use against people who are actually nice guys in real life, like John Cena, who can take it and don't get triggered easily, in order to avoid legit beef. Because if the other guy is just as easily offended as you are, you're going to have a real mess behind the scenes, which is what is happening right now. Its funny that Punk can't handle his own methods when used against him and is lashing out at everyone without someone needing to bring it up in the media scrum. If you can dish it, you should be able to take it as well. Its a two-way street.

Its something the talented old-school wrestlers were well-versed in. Jericho had it in spades, and still does, in fact, when he can be arsed to show it. The Rock was a maestro at it as well. Cena used to have it until PG era started and severely limited his freedom on the mic due to him being the face of the company. And then the Punk pipebomb/shoot promo happened, and everyone had to adapt due to the reaction it got from smarks. Which is why when the Rock came back in 2012, his back-and-forth promo feud with Cena felt so weird and disconnected at times.

I used to like CM Punk. I used to believe in his “passion for the business”, but as years gone by, he’s become verbally defecating hypocrite that can’t seem to recognize when he’s part of the problem. When he was in WWE, he got on part timers who were only in it for the money, berating them and the company for doing that. He leaves for MMA and automatically gets the “Dwayne Johnson” treatment by being signed to UFC and featured in main events despite the true fighters that train for years, never being afforded that opportunity. He defended his place on the card. When he lost, his defense was he still made more money that the winner. When he signed with AEW, he bragged about how much money he was making. I’m not a fan of The Elite, and I don’t agree with spreading rumors to dirtsheets but CM Punk’s whole MO in that scrum was to insult, and embarrass people. Even with the first question, he was hoping the guy was still friends with Colt, and even admitted that it ruined his rant at the beginning by the reporter saying he’s no longer friends with him.

back in school, there was two types of kids I used to stand up to. Bullies, and people who run their mouth like Punk. Kids like punk weren't as big as the other bullies, but they would run their mouth in such a way that people are actually afraid or intimated by them. People would just not try them... Many of the kids just wanted to be on their side, even when they were obviously wrong. That, "I'm just rolling with this" nervous laughter. As I watch punk in his latter years in the WWE I saw those same punk kids. I think many of his fans also are just on his side because they don't want to be opposite of him. That's actually a real and irrational fear that punks like this can inspire in people.

Thank you so very much for stating the MMA part. I couldn't have said it much better myself. I thanked you so much that I subscribed to you. Lmao. His one main problem with the WWE is the fact that he was never made the main eventer of WrestleMania, and whined as if WWE didn't treat him right since he didn't get to become one whereas he literally: a. was the longest reigning WWE Champion, b. cashed in Money in the Bank, c. was given the chance to work with big stars like Cena, Orton, Bryan, and Lesnar as well as veterans like Jericho and Big Show even defeated some of them, d. was also given the chance to face WWE's greatest superstar: The Undertaker, in WWE's grandest stage: the WrestleMania. All this, and not only he still complained about not being a main eventer, but he also whined on how Dwayne Johnson became one thanks to his celebrity status alone, neglecting the fact that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson had also literally worked himself truly hard before he was even an Indie superstar. In MMA? Exactly like you said, he had the "Dwayne Johnson" treatment, much like how he himself whined about in his infamous pipebomb, which is ironic. He was a draw in UFC not because of his fighting skills, not even because of his mic skills like Sonnen or McGregor's, but because of his celebrity status alone.

on one hand Punk has been getting absolutely hounded for the Colt Cabana stuff for years and the bucks have been known to spread lies and blow things out of proportion about people they don't like, on the other hand this should all have been dealt with behind closed doors and Punk should never have buried the company's biggest stars aside from him in a public press conference. I understand his frustrations but he should have been professional and dealt with it backstage after the Dynamite hangman cut that promo. what he did was extremely unprofessional and taking a swing at the bucks and knocking one of them out should at least result in a very hefty fine and a lengthy suspension but that won't happen because Tony Khan gave him all of the power by publicly saying Punk is the reason AEW is successful and put him on a pedestal above his own company. the bucks should have left well enough alone, Colt Cabana is not worth defending, he's a jobber who was never anything special, you don't try to bury your top guy to defend your jobber friend, this is what happens as a result, Kenny seems to be a totally innocent bystander in this and was just in the wrong place at the wrong time to get bitten by Ace Steel who absolutely should be fired after this, he bit someone like an animal. It's funny because in the beginning of AEW and during the churning (CM Punk Return) rumor mill, The Bucks have bragged about having Punk's cell number and being in touch with him. Here's the thing, Punk has his reputation, but that's only with real Corporate Authority figures in the industry like HHH and Vince. There's some shit talk over the years, but even guys like Teddy Hart spoke decent about him. Punk still has his established relationships with co-workers like Cesaro, Danielson, Moxley, and other vets like Jericho. Some younger newer workers speak well on him. If Punk totally sucked as a person, that wouldn't be possible. He sure as hell isn't perfect, but some blame has to be put on the Bucks and Omega for separating themselves, being delusional about their booking/phony "EVP" status, and being as poor of communicators backstage as they are cringe on the microphones. Does The Elite really believe that they're super over and that AEW is their "brilliant smorgasbord of wrestling" alone with Tony Khan's money? That's ridiculous. They're spoiled as hell.

We should take a poll to see how long it takes for CM Punk to take his ball and go home. History always repeats itself. Maybe he should take a look in the mirror and realize that maybe it’s not WWE or AEW, it’s me. The only reason why he didn’t succeed in MMA is because The owners there didn’t tell the other guys to lay down for him.

Agree or Disagree? If everyone is going to say CM punk needs to be more professional and not saying anything whatsoever about any of his situations… then we need to have that same energy for the young bucks who are EVPS. Why does the wrestler have to be more professional than the EVP? EVP’s shouldn’t be getting in altercations with the talent. I think they should be removed from there power. Once again if Cm Punk isn’t allowed to say anything neither should the young bucks since there EVPS and should be way more professional than someone on the roster that is just considered a Wrestler

Problem is, it's a bad work. Even the make-believe notion of this story is not flattering in the slightest. Doesn't make AEW look like an appealing place to work at, and the last place that had this label stuck onto it for an extensive period of time got bought by the competition. With a wild Slapnuts getting fired on live TV, for good measure. So even as a work, it's not a good look.

Back in the day, CM Punk was everything WWE was lacking. He was the anti hero. He was the refreshing new thing everybody so desperately wanted after week in week out of Cena, the Anonymous General Manager, Michael Cole in a box and other stupid shit that had nothing to do with real wrestling. So when Punk dropped his pipebomb promo, he said exactly what everybody else was feeling. And he was right. He was right about Vince being out of touch. He was right about HHH being an extension of Vince and Stephanie, and how he benefited from his position. But HHH was also right about him. CM Punk was a troublemaker, CM Punk had a massive ego because he felt he was what a REAL wrestler SHOULD be. And CM Punk was somebody who needed that underdog position, because his persona was based around being the anti hero. Vince was smart enough to see the error in his own ways, and decided to capitalise on the red hot Superstar in front of him. So Punk got the ball and was allowed to run with it. But fans who we're smart could already start to notice back then, that the gimmick of being the savior, the anti hero started to wear thin even back then. Punk was now the top guy, and not the underdog anymore. And he still had the massive ego. He constantly needed to be paired with WWE style wrestlers he didnt consider to be real wrestlers so he could keep preaching the same story. And when that ran thin he quit. Fast forward 7 years. AEW is exactly what he always said WWE was lacking. Real wrestlers, indy wrestlers, gimmick wrestlers that got over naturally. And somehow he still has issues with all of them. Why ? Because CM Punk is still CM Punk. He is still trying his old " im better then you " ( sorry MJF ) persona. But it makes no sense, so what does he do ? He uses real life issues and friction with co-workers to set himself into that underdog position again. He just doesnt understand that fans can tell, and they are not gonna make him the anti hero this time around. They are gonna make him the asshole that does everything for the reasons HHH said years ago. And its true. CM Punk didnt come to AEW to help the younger generation, he came there for himself. He still thinks WWE all those years ago was a hinderance to him, that he could have been more. But its not true, they gave him EVERYTHING. The biggest titles, the biggest opponents, Wrestlemania's, record holding title runs etc. I think, CM Punk should have done his comeback pop for AEW, run a program with MJF to make him a megastar, and then RETIRE ! Instead, we got this shit show. And its a bad look for Phil, and his legacy.

Didn't he also walk out after losing to Undertaker? Not to mention how unprofessional it is to quit the company in the middle of your promo but he thought he was the one who should have broken The Streak. He really was angry because they didn't choose him to break THE UNDERTAKER's streak

There is a huge difference between what CM Punk said during the pipebomb and what Adam Page said to Punk on dynamite. The pipebomb was a worked shoot. He was allowed by Vince McMahon and creative to air his grievances on live TV and say anything. Adam Page's words were shot from the hip without permission.
@billywashere69652 жыл бұрын
So? Did Adam say anything wrong? Everything he said was 100% truth, and the same thing Eddie Kingston and Triple H said about CM Punk. Even more-so, CM PUnk proved Adam Page right by having a complete meltdown at the scrum and burying everybody, including the locker room, the company , and the president... while sitting right next to him!
