There is definitely a huge P2W problem with unlocking certain minis as it is really hard to get new heroes and there isn’t much you can do but in terms of gameplay it’s really fun but if the baseline progression is often discourage I prey that they focus more on it or else it will not go global

It's not P2W stop using the term incorrectly. They removed the level system which was actually P2W since you could exchange real world money for stat boosts in game. This new system did away with that the only issue is that certain minis are locked behind a lootbox mechanic, which is significantly harder to get if you don't spend cash. I don't think it's inherently P2W but if the special minis are meta or very broken, it would definitely be a disadvantage to those without it

there's a layer of complexity to it which is a good thing, autochess is inherently a very boring and simplistic gamemode, you need as much mechanics as possible to make the game more interesting
