It's honestly a mix. You can't win with just luck alone, but it certainly doesn't hurt to have your team counter theirs every step of the way :) Then again if you're not very lucky the lag and glitches could get you...

I think it would be neat if they took away whatever pokemon was used most each day for the rest of the week once trainers reach level 20. There's ALWAYS a Walrein. There's ALWAYS a Trevenant.
