@@TyrellKnifeworks Well considering we were smithing in the UK before America was stolen from the natives ide have to say yes , but my point is what your making is not Damascus you know and i know it, unfortunately 90% of the people watching you tube are going to assume you know what your talking about even when you like so many others on you tube are wrong , it is a personal gripe of mine that A people call pattern welded steel Damascus when its not , and B so many absolutely great content creators and bladesmiths on you tube perpetuate the misinformation and disseminate it to the masses that watch said content .... you sick of people mentioning forged in fire when you say you make knives yet ? lol

@@Edgunsuk Well MY personal gripe the ridiculous notion that you need to "correct" another smith on a term that just about every master smith out there uses. "Damascus" has become the defacto term people relate to for both modern and traditional damascus. Just know that the American Bladesmith Society, Master smiths, and Journeyman smiths (like this one), don't care to delineate the terms and will say "damascus" for both types. If we want to refer specifically to traditional damascus, we'd say "Wootz". There's no need to "correct" me in KZbin comments. If you "corrected" someone on a bladesmithing forum, and certainly in person, you'd sound incredibly pretentious and look like an ass. Don't be that guy.
