Alot of people don't think about things like this but your pictures and thumbnails are the first thing to grab someone's attention or dismiss their attention. Great video.

It's totally worth it. If I keep doing swords, I'll need a bigger one though. It was tough to get a good picture of the sword. Thanks for watching, Mark!

I got a light box, and after a lot of experimenting, I still take better pictures outside in the morning than I do in the light box.

There is that magic hour in the morning and evening that provides the best light. Short of that though, its easier to use the lightbox at other times. Thanks for watching.

Excellent advice! I will only add that using a good camera, with f-stops, will markedly increase the clarity of the shots, assuming one sets the aperture and time correctly to set the depth of field you want.

I don’t have a good camera, just my phone. And I have no idea how to use a camera, like most people I think. 🤷‍♂️

@@TyrellKnifeworks I guess learning how to use a camera is not dissimilar to learning how to make good knives, it takes book learning and practice. I assume you and your customers are happy with your photos, so no worries.

@@brysonalden5414 I'm not disagreeing with you by any means... just that I have little interest in learning to use a "real" camera, whereas I'm very interested in learning to make good knives. 😉

I don’t, I’ve never used one but I think they are pretty cool. I’ve seen a few people use them on FB and I like the look. I might look into getting one. 👍

I ordered those boxes from China. They were about $11 per box after shipping. I used alibaba to find a vendor. Sorry I don’t have a link.

You're a few steps further than some "professional" photographers out there. Great tips for any product photography. Some key words for you @tyrellKnifeworks: key light, negative fill, bounce light, and pin light.
