TRIPLE TRACK ACTION ON THE UNION PACIFIC KEARNEY SUB! TRAIN MEET AND DRONE VIEWS!

06/30/2024 Gibbon, Ne. Jumped of I 80 to get out of the rain and lucked out with this Marysville Sub west bound. Caught a West and East bound manifest while in Gibbon. The West bound came up off of the Marysville Sub. Kearney, Ne. Lots of power on this West bound manifest. A East bound manifest and West bound empty coal made for a train meet on the edge of town! 07/01/2024 East of Cozad, Ne. CNW lead car on this East bound manifest headed down Track 3.

Hi Red, I love watching the big crossing at Kearney in Nebraska on the livestream. Intrermodel nearly touching the underside of that bridge, awesome train. Nice to see you doing some filming in location ive not seen before in Gibbon, Nebraska. Fab drone filming of brilliant trains on the triple track. Ahhh yes. Concrete triple track in Nebraska. I remember being part of the MOW crews laying the triple concrete tracks years ago. I believe we started out by North Platte and worked our way east.

Nice double stack outside of Kearney Nebraska and two UP mixed freights in gibbon Nebraska and another UP mixed freight and Union Pacific mixed and CN loaded coal train meet there in Kearney Nebraska good UP mixed freight west of Lexington Nebraska and a Union Pacific caboose statue there in cozad Nebraska I love that red good job 👍😎

You caught some excellent railfanning footage on 30 June and 1 July 2024 on your motorcycle ride west into Nebraska, Red! it also looked like you had to dodge some rain on this trip. That westbound empty coal train that appeared at 19:36 had some unusual motive power on it. I do remember seeing an empty Union Pacific coal train powered by Canadian National engines before. @@redsiowatrainvideos6645 In late June 1968, I took a trip out west. I took I-80 into Nebraska and got off to follow US 30 along the Union Pacific. I remember seeing at sizable number of UP trains as I drove on US 30.

That was a great place to rail fan on that triple track main and it was pretty much like being there at your house, one train after another, and they roll through there, but anyway, my friend another great video and as always you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one

When you head back to Iowa stop at Grand Island Nebraska and check out the Stuhr Museum. It's an old town with many, many, many old buildings and people dressed for those days giving demonstrations on life of our past. The tracks right next to the town were where our tie gang tied up while working in that area.

@redsiowatrainvideos6645 . Any tie run over by a train gets smashed or cracked into chunks. The best ties I have seen and used are the wood ties they use diamond tipped drill bits to drill holes to allow spikers to shove spikes into. You can't hand drive spikes into those ties even with the holes drilled. If I am not mistaken, the railroad said it was the hardest wood in the world.
