Still the most accurate depiction of depression I’ve ever seen. Not sadness or an emotion, its desperation. To dance, to drown, to move, to love something or to protect the worst parts of you. Why it’s terrifying to consider getting better when it’s an intimate part of who you are.

I haven't even listened to this yet but I know it's going to completely captive me. I listened to both of their first albums while DEEP into a psychadelic trip, listened to BOTH of them twice all the way through, and I can't explain how heavily their music changed my entire existence. How it formed my opinion on music, how it convincing to start playing guitar again after years of absence, how it reignited my passion for music production. This fucking band changed my life in the span of one crazy night and I've been waiting for this new album for what feels like a decade. I'm fully aware this will get buried, but if it doesn't and Foxing sees this...just. Thank you. Thank you so much for being around. Thank you for Den Mother, thank you for Indica, thank you for Smidley (I know, but still). It won't be the same without their bassist, he was without a doubt the first musician to get me to reconsider the power that instrument has and what it can do in the hands of an expert. I know, I'm rambling, but when your life has been altered by a group of people you've never met, but hope to one day, it's impossible to find the exact words to represent their impact. As far as I'm concerned, this band is one of the greatest of all time, and only rivaled by DanceGavinDance for the title of "my favorite". Thank you, for being Foxing.

I feel like this video is about co dependence. The plant is literally bleeding him dry but he loves it so much he can’t let go, because he knows it will die without him. But he’s dying while he’s with it. So he’s trying everything he can to keep them afloat but the demand is too much. Not to mention him and his plant are isolated away from everyone else as it often is the case in codependent relationships.

3:41 - "Would you hold open the door so I can fall in? There's no more sun and no more light shine through.” These lyrics have always struck a chord with me and has stayed with me for years. It's motivating to know that I'm being heard when I talk to someone about how I'm feeling, hence, the idea of someone holding open the door, so I could fall in which is my concept for the aforementioned lyrics. But I rarely talk to someone these days; the feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, and lacking the sense of direction are frequently on display, and I'm unsure if it's such a sight to see for someone whom I'm venting to. So yes, for now, There's really no more sun and no more light that shines through.

This, and other new age emotional music artists, actually care about music, about life....this is so much more beauty to what it portrays than I could even tell; but having raised my own, naturally created, life, I know that, as a parent, I need to be well, and this goes beyond where I normally would show someone else how beautiful the universe is. So big, more than 12.7 billion light years worth of potential, and of life.
