How to accurately tell planting depth when corn is 2 inches tall. Measure the mesocotyl length (the area between the seed and the crown or growing point) Then add 3/4 inch to determine planting depth.

Another great video, Daniel. Just love Dad! He laughed at his mistake with the seal, it happens to all of us. There is something about the drone footage that gives me goose bumps, that Alabama countryside is beautiful. You sure test the equipment you use, so many acres, different soils, different crops. Your maintenance program is good enough to help, but things continue to wear out with use. I am a UConn alum, so the Alabama basketball game ended well for me. Your team was a very hard test, you should be proud.

Daniel I hope y’all have some corn booked around 5 dollars. The market is not good!! Last I looked it was 4.30 a bushel. Here in La. We mostly plant sugar cane but we have a few farmers that are still all grain and they planting all soybeans . 12 dollars soybeans makes more money than corn this year. Did you ever consider a bulk seed corn setup with a auger, I saw one on Dirt Grain & Steels channel. Sure eliminated all those bags and they just towed from field to field.
