Great video John a lot of truths , one thing ive learned over my last few years of doing exotics is i may not hit one in one race even if other people im betting with do, if im due it will happen soon. Its happened me a couple of times this year where i missed out on a nice win cause i didnt back it for a proper reason, and then ive hit a big one a short time later , days or week.s doesnt matter. As u say Jon Dicipline is key.

Hi jon im in dublin Ireland, ive been betting on horses for 30 years , most of the time im betting on horses in europe mainly uk or ireland , mainly i used to bet on one horse to win or finish second or third or even other places if its a big field meeting with extra places which happens in uk and Ireland. Last few years ive been betting on USA racing more as ive found great youtube channels like you guys ( found past the wire a few months ago, I like your videos and your betting attitude) and others example Trust the prophets(found in 2022) has become a channel for me to chat on youtube and have a few bets. which introduced me to the fun of exotic bets which i do with USA Racing. So what I love about this game is you learn every day.Happy Holidays my friend to all the past the wire crew.

Love the discipline. I believe in it. Doesn't the method you are describing take a very big bankroll going in? And a big bankroll to keep it rolling? Most ordinary bettors don't have that kind of $ to invest on a regular basis, or am I wrong?

It all depends. I played the same way when I was broke, always or at least very early learned to pick my spots and make it count. I could hold a $20 bill all day and bet it all on a cold exacta when all I had was that $20

Happy Holidays. Great advice! I started doing something similar lately. I still have ALL in 3rd, but I take the horses I like best for 3rd and move them out of my wheel. Then, I make 2 or 3 number trees (depending on how many horses I have in 2nd) and then I play straight tris with horses I like in 3rd place for $3-$5. Do you think this is a winning strategy over time or should I adjust it?

It doesn't drive you crazy if you have a BOMB on top with 2 or 3 horses and your bomb loses to one of them? Are you ever flexible on the per? Let's say the bomb is 40 - 1.

Yes it stings when that happens but I have learned long ago if the smoke clears and I’m still standing it is only a matter of time until i get em. 💪🏻💪🏻🕶️
