I have never seen triplets irl. I just looked it up and the probabilities are as follows: Twins 1 in 250 pregnancies Triplets 1 in 62,500 pregnancies Quadruplets 1 in 15,625,000 pregnancies Quintuplets 1 in 3,906,250,000 pregnancies

Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics. I have no doubt those numbers are true, they just don't distinguish between fertility treatments and natural births. Certain treatments greatly enhance the chance for multiples.

I would be scared to have 3 babies because of the high risk and scared for any of my children with that may baby coming. I would be thrilled to have them just worried about losing them are one. Some of my family had such a hard time carrying one. But what a blessing for the families.

This is actually hard to watch. the first moments are incandescent...but as any mother of multiples will tell you, these peoples' lives as they knew it are over. Multiple pregnancies are by definition, high risk. these young parents are probably looking at babies born months early, extended NICU time, possible physical and developmental issues, and huge hospital bills. That doesn't include the stress on the mother's body being stretched way past tolerance...preeclampsia, struggling cervix, premature labor, and massive stretching that will never go back to the way it was before...not even close, without future plastic surgery. It looks like many of these folks have large families who hopefully will be supportive during those first couple of years, when it is SO hard to juggle everything and baby need is all consuming. But for the grandmas who are supporting daughters with lousy partners or no partners at all, this is going to be a life journey like nothing else anyone who has already raised their kids could imagine. This is an all consuming adventure...writing a blank check for an unmarked box. I wish everyone well, but please know, there's little to nothing romantic about having multiples, once the initial high wears off. It's the biggest labor of love possible and the costs can be devastatingly high. Been there, done it. No regrets, but there are things I wish I'd known.

My thoughts exactly. Some of these people don’t quite seem to realize the nightmare they are in for. Having just one baby in this day and age is stressful enough as it is, physically, mentally, and financially. But having triplets, especially on a middle class income in 2023, is absolutely terrifying to me and that’s something that even our parents can’t understand because of the era they grew up in. Thankfully, it looks like there is no shortage of support with a lot of these families, but moving closer to your parents in this situation is a must if you aren’t making well over six figures in your household, because actually spending time with your kids and raising them well will be impossible while you’re working your tail off to provide for them.

If I had triplets, I would name the babies with the letter they were given. They are labelled A,B & C ...so each name would start with the letter they were given, no matter the sex. How cool and expensive, lol

I can imagine some of these people know one or more of these people in these couples is or wasn’t that happy about them being married or having babies then when they find out they are having 3 they are like OMG! If my sister had told me she was pregnant with 3 I would have been upset. It was bad enough that we had to pretend we like him then they got pregnant. The good part is the kids are awesome despite the annoying dad. 🥰

Watching this was depressing. So many of these families seemed devastated and even annoyed. Reminds me too much of the reactions I got to being pregnant with just one.

I think you may have never cried out of happiness before if that’s what you mean. I actually cry exclusively when I’m overjoyed. Even funerals struggle to make me cry but show me an infirtle 35 year old finding out she’s pregnant and i bawl like a baby

@@Dotum yes we did but I saw the angry men, the apologetic women, the shocked friends. This was 5 months ago but I kind of remember that specifically which reminded me of telling my husband about my pregnancy. You obviously focused on the other end because of your experience. Not everyone in that video was happy, I know what that’s like.

@@mimilapin no, that’s what I read. Can I suggest that after FIVE MONTHS you focus on your own experience in the video and not worry about what I thought half a year ago. Just sayin’
