Yes they are very free on what they do. That's why i love ShowBT because they let the boys show their craft. Also, i'm not into kpop idols and idk how kpop stans acts but in our fandom , we are happy knowing who their crushes are and we even ship them when they have small interactions 😅

here in the Philippines we dont mind if our idols have celebrity crushes, we would even ship them if they're both available and around the same age. 🤗 filipinos are actually die hard shippers. Justin mentioned she had a crush on Sharlene San Pedro, she is only a year younger than him and doesn't have any current relationships so the fans go crazy about them and enjoyed every small interactions. 😄

True its a normal conversation whose your crush whose your type or anything under the sun its not an issue for celebrities here unlike in South Korea or Japan or other country entertainment.

The modernized Filipino language has evolved from the purist Tagalog. The alphabet is a combination of Tagalog and English letters. Filipinos speak Filipino and English words seamlessly, with a mix of Spanish words, being colonized by Spain for 300+ years. Filipinos can communicate well with English speakers - you won't get lost when you get the chance to visit the Philippines. Thank you for supporting the boys.
@ninkichan72093 жыл бұрын
That is more of the Manila born Tagalogs. If you speak with Tagalogs from the Batangas, Bulacan, and Quezon, they still use pure Tagalog words that honestly is not known if not familiar with Manila natives. Especially if you talk to old folks in small towns.

What's good about them in this kinds of interviews is that, they don't have that much restrictions. I mean the company let them say what they want cause they know SB19 can speak for themselves and maintain a good image. They let them be who they are and show the world that "This is SB19. And they are just like any of us"
@dluckygurl83 жыл бұрын
Filipino (language) is based on Tagalog /tah-GAH-lohg/, a dialect mainly used in the central area of one of the main islands of the Philippines. There are about 180+ languages and dialects spoken in the Philippines; thus, a need for neutral term - Filipino - for one of the official languages (the other being English). You're right, Filipino sounds a bit like Spanish! Around 40% of our words were derived from the Spanish language. People's names and even street names are mostly Spanish names, e.g. de Dios, Santos, Ajero, etc. Ken flew to Manila with only 1500 PH Pesos (25 EUR) in his pocket.

Thanks for this pretty girls, they've been through a lot and they're super talented that's why they're worth to Stan, I just want to point out that if it wasn't for Stell (my bias and love of my life) staying, we dont have the SB19 group now that we are enjoying and look up to, I just feel that a lot of people don't realize that, and also Stell has a huge part of the group's success even from the start because he's not only the group's front/main voice, heavenly voice he is also the group's choreographer, he's the one responsible for their amazing dance choreography like Go Up. Alab, WHAT, SLMT, etc. Just saying that he's done a huge part in Go Up being viral and known for their synchronized dance steps, and it's all because of Stell's amazing choreography, a lot of people just don't really recognized that, he's not getting the proper credit for it, but Stell is still so humble about it.😥

..and yes we do combine (mostly) Tagalog English Spanish words in our casual convo.. or other Regional dialects depending which region you're frm.. Ex Ken speaks Visaya - hence his single "Palayo" is not in Tagalog..and we switch to English language (automatic) if we knew the person does not understand Tagalog etc..

Appreciate you both for taking the time watching this interview :) It's true that being in a big company would make a diff when a group debut/release a song/album. The thing is, ShowBT is considered as a small company when they started. It's actually an event company than an entertainment comp. Thus, when SB19 debuted (Tilaluha), they only promoted it through Social Media Platform. When they started getting recognition, they literally catched all the bullets of negativity not just about them but also PPOP in general. Maybe bcoz, for the longest time, PH really did not have a 'group' that synchonize in dancing and harmonize in singing. PH has a lot of talented singers and dancers but not as a group. Thus, the definition of 'paving a way' is really evident for SB19 that other PPOP groups may also be recognized with their own talents :)

Us, A'Tin, don't gatekeep SB19 from their celebrity crushes. We even jokingly flood their crushes' accounts with Collab requests and whatnot coz we treat them as real people and not merely idols. Like us, they do have feelings and we are not in any position to hinder those feelings. It's actually funny coz we also have fanbases for those who ship SB19 to their crushes like JoshLyn Mushrooms for Josh and Donnalyn Bartolome, and SharTin for Justin and Sharlene San Pedro.
@mangojuice76663 жыл бұрын
If you want other fans to respect your preference then you should also respect fans who are not comfortable seeing them with their crushes. Not all fans are shippers. You can't force your beliefs on the entire fandom.
@onyxnavee19903 жыл бұрын
@@mangojuice7666 who said about not respecting other's preferences and forcing what my opinion on others? If you are a real A'Tin, you'll be ok if you see SB19 with their crushes coz you respect their feelings. Would you rather have them not meet even though they would want to just because you'll get "hurt"? That's gatekeeping and that's what toxic about other fandoms. Not on A'Tin. Yes, there are those who'll say they are "hurt" seeing SB19 happy with another girl but that's just them wishfully thinking it was them but not to the point that they'll go on hate that girl. Heck, they even congratulate fans who were able to meet SB19 in person. You said it yourself, if you want respect to your preference, do not force it to the fandom... and yes, majority of the fandom especially the OGs love to tease SB19 to their crushes.

Culturally, Koreans are very conservative compared to the Filipinos. From what I've seen, most KPOP idols are not allowed to date - it's literally stipulated in their contracts as one of their restrictions. Also, the Korean media and fans tend to obsess over dating issues (they literally term it as a "scandal"), which is a stark contrast in comparison to the Philippine entertainment business where celebrities are teamed up into "love teams" (to gain more fans and popularity) and fans are generally more open about romantic relations. But since SB19 is handled by a Korean entertainment company, I remember watching an old interview of them where they were asked if they are allowed to date and Pablo clearly said that they're not.

Thanks for getting to an interview! You'll find SB19 gives pretty serious answers because they do take the privilege of an interview seriously, whether it's Toni Talks, with their friends The Juans on KwentoJuan, or Rolling Stone. I'd suggest KwentoJuan if you want to know them personally because they share even more there. PPop has more freedom than KPop when it comes to both music production and the artists' personal lives. They're not very censored when it comes to their own lives and them having a love interest isn't taboo. It's something shared very openly and followed by the fans. Ken and Stell are crazy funny but Ken only talks when he's comfortable. He's actually very shy, like Justin. This interview, and The Juans, are actually the only times when he's talked a lot. Most interviews, he's really quiet and zones out while the others are talking. Stell on the other hand can host a game show. He's just behaved here because it's Toni in front of him! His normal is like on their Rolling Stone interview - being a riot.

Hi girls so I have stan K-pop group Infinite, I was there since their debut until the final days when there were just 5 of them on stage, Sung-gyu was in the military and Hoya has left the group. When I was in K-pop there were so many videos but no English translation. I've learned how to search for those videos with English translation because some Korean Inspirit does not like to share their idols. Luckily there were those fans that were not so close minded who does the subs. Grateful for them but in those early days it was so hard, you wanted to buy merchandise you can't because everything was in Korean. I was so happy when a Ppop finally emerge and their songs really touched me, we Filipinos like to share we don't want their talents hidden we want to show the world here this is ours and we want you to see how awesome they are. I myself will be happy if they have girlfriends someone who understands them and they can be themselves with. As a fan I admire them but I set boundaries too, what they do in their private lives is theirs alone those things are sacred.
