Just a couple of clarifications. Jeongyeon main problem is a herniated disc in her neck. She was under heavy medication for that (as someone on the older side with 3 herniated disks in my lower back I know the pain , the incapacitation it causes and the strength of the medication needed) and after having a surgery (note here: Surgery does not mean you're done. It can come back anytime ) the time to practice for performances was so short she felt she was lacking so she asked for her fancams to not be publicized as to not disappoint fans with a lackluster performance. All this pressure to get back soon and reach performance levels caused her even more harm mentally (another note: Surgery recovery for herniated disk is normally around 6 months , she was only gone for a couple of months in actuality). When she first appeared on stage at the Seoul Music Awards 2021 in late January many rushed to criticize her weight gain and I'm pretty sure that made it even harder on her. BUT here she is performing with a smile again although we know she's not well both physically and mentally. 💚 Yoo
