You have a very unique way of counting to two especially when it is three. I hope you are more constant with your photography. Can you please take us to your kitchen and show us your vertical pan. Darling the Dutch angle is not tilted anymore than vernicle panning. Did you actually listen to yourself talk? No wonder people come away after watching a KZbin video and have no idea what they are talking about.

Thank you. I just spent a week looking for a geared head that can hold more than 6kg but does not cost $1000. Somehow this never came up. I ended up buying a gimbal head for my needs (landscape photography with my 400 2.8), but may pick one of these up now as they're much more compact. I would prefer it to not have the arca base, as my tripod has a flat bowl adapter, but I can put an arca clamp on the tripod. Thanks again!

I use the Benro geared head for 3 years now. Al axis are geared. Perfect head. Specially for medium format and large format. It is to my belive the cheapest of all geared heads.

Is it GD3WH model? The one which is ~$163 on Amazon?
@ryanlong59632 ай бұрын
I have 3 GD3WH geared heads. I shoot professionally, so I have used them a lot. Unfortunately, they all went wobbly after a couple of months. However, you can take the end caps off each gear and Tighten them with a large Allen wrench. End caps for each gear show just degree markers so make sure you zero out all the gears so that you put the endcaps back on.

The Benro is too tall and many do not like the weird clutches.

Can the top screw panning clamp be removed so you could add a different brand clamp or even leofotos lever lock pcl clamps ?
@soundandhue13 күн бұрын
There is a large screw on top. It can be disassembled, but I don’t know if it is possible to put a different plate on top.

Pretty nice compact equipment, but using it along with the ballhead the drawbacks of which are explained earlier, seems odd.
@soundandhue7 ай бұрын
Because the angles of the geared head are limited the ballhead is necessary to set the general direction, and then geared head for finetuning.
@helgebrekke5 ай бұрын
@@soundandhue A valid point if you already have a ballhead and need a quick solution, but a better solution is to get a universal L-bracket for your cameras, that functions as an Arca Swiss-compatible bottom plate on both bottom and side of the camera, letting you change from landscape to portrait for the same composition without adjusting the head, and keeping all controls the intended orientation 👌🏻 L-brackets are life hacks🙌🏼 (Thanks for the video! Looking to make an informed purchase of a geared head in the near future)

@@helgebrekke You're right, I do use L-bracket. I used a wrong word - I'm using a leveling head not a ballhead.
@yingkittham99987 ай бұрын
The reason why it’s so cheap is because they ripped off the design from Arca Swiss.

Angles have restrictions on this geared head,like back tilt angle is very limited
@soundandhue7 ай бұрын
That’s true. I’m using it in combination with ball head. It helps me fine tuning the composition.

Put it on a leveling head.

You are wrong, the Arca Swiss 60 Leveler (looks like your Leofoto) cost 570 dollar at B&H and if you have that Arca Swiss in your hands you will know and see why it more expensive because it's far more superior than your Leofoto.
@soundandhue5 ай бұрын
I haven’t tried Arca Swiss - I might be wrong. Have you tried both of them? I’m pretty happy with this one, though. I cannot imagine how Arca can be 4 times better.
@Floydian13115 ай бұрын
@@soundandhue I have a Arca D4 GP, that one cost indeed a lot more. But what you are showing can be compared with the Arca 60 Leveler, that one doesn't cost 4 times as much. And a 100.000 car is also not 4 times better than a 25.000 car, but it's the build qualty and how they preform in the field. But i see many people happy with their LeoFoto, Benro, Manfrotto and Sunwayfoto Geared Heads, which is totally fine by me ;-)

What are you shooting with if your multiple cameras cost less than 1500? The F?

I have several film cameras: Nikon F3, FM2 and medium format Zenza Bronica S2A

This is laughable and misleading. The Arca core 60 leveler is $571 and offers more functionality than this product ripoff. Core 60 leveler has a panning base bulit in, and top panning to use after the head is leveled.
@RobertWalker-kv9hn17 күн бұрын
A rich bitch, Not every one can afford $571 or needs all the functions of the Arca, I use a Manfrotto 055 410 and the same Ulanzi coman tripod the LeFoto G2 would be all I need for a travel rig.
