Many people are asking how Mac is learning Arabic so quickly, well it is not as quickly as it may seem as he has done almost 100 classes on the iTalki platform since last July and that has helped a ton along with just going out and speaking with locals in middle eastern countries. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, nobody cares if you make mistakes and they appreciate the efforts! If you want to use the same private teacher as Mac, you can find his page here: www.italki.com/en/i/reft/ABCDbCE/6ACDB0/arabic(levantine)?hl=en&

Hi Mac, my dad recommended your channel to help me learn Arabic! I’m half Irish, half Lebanese, so always wanted to learn but never got past a few basic words. I regular visit Lebanon to see my dad’s family and it’s like a second home to me. I absolutely love it there and your video here does it justice. A true representation of the kindness and friendliness of the Lebanese people! I’ve started lessons in the last few weeks and after watching your video I’ve already picked up a few new words. Question, how long have you been learning for and have any tips for beginners who know a few words? I would absolutely love to get to your level where u can understand and have a conversation with people 🙏🏼😎
@MacandMabelle7 ай бұрын
Hey Lucas, great to hear from you! Tell your dad thank you for recommending, I really appreciate it! Love to hear you are learning Arabic, as you probably know, it is not the easiest language to learn but I find it to be a really rewarding experience in terms of how much people in the middle east appreciate the efforts to learn the language! I have been coming to Lebanon for nearly 3 years and pretty much the last 2 years I have been practicing, but only in the last 11 months did I start doing classes with a private tutor. I have a teacher named Hasan from iTalki platform and I do 1-3 lessons per week with him and it helps a ton just to keep up with conversation, learn new things, and not forget things I have learned when I am outside of the middle east. If you want to check out Hasan you can find him here: www.italki.com/en/i/reft/ABCDbCE/6ACDB0/arabic(levantine)?hl=en&

I was impressed with how fast you were picking up words back from the start of your journey and I knew it was just a matter of time before you became fluent. Although I have the feeling when Mabelle talks fast you have no idea what she is saying like @3:29 right? 😂😂😂 You were smiling like what the... 8:13 Sometimes even Mabelle and Fouad were struggling to find the correct words in Arabic lol so don't hold back from mixing in English or French to complete your sentences, that's perfectly accepted in Lebanese dialect. We all do it 🤓 God bless all of you ❤🙏🏻

A couple of things I'd like to say to viewers here, as a Lebanese person. First of all, it's nice that he's learning Arabic (or more accurately, LEBANESE), and kudos to him for speaking it so well. But let me tell you, it isn't a necessary language for us Lebanese people. It is not our only language. Many of us speak French and English, which are very much a part of Lebanese life. In addition MOST of us live OUTSIDE of Lebanon and don't really know Arabic. Which is fine. Because that's not even our ancestral language. Some of us care to learn it. Some don't. After all, we're not Arabs by blood. We're Phoenicians. Mediterranean people. By culture as well. So there's nothing wrong with also speaking Arabic, but those are the additional details which I find important to mention to outsiders.

Am here wondering to myself.... 🤔 💭 What if your "fiance" wasn't Arab Lebanese But if she was Western European like ME or even American..... , would you spoil her that much and treat her that good as much as you do to your fiance Mabelle without immediately labeling her and calling her right on "gold digger"....!??? 😏 😏 Mmmmm..... 💬 Personally, I doubt it, of course... After all, I'm myself western European, so, the answer is OBVIOUS!! 😒 Btw........ Watch - out that petshop❗ In a lawful civilised country with implemented Human Rights law it's ILLEGAL to imprison and keep animals captive‼️ 🙄
@lebanonthehostbecamethehos29047 ай бұрын
Hello, Firstly, I'd like to make a small correction. We Lebanese are not Arabs. We belong to one of the very few civilizations on Earth that still preserve the same traditions, folklore, family names and lifestyle inherited from our ancestors, the Phoenicians. Europe even carries the name of the Phoenician princess of Tyre, in Lebanon. Secondly, as a Lebanese myself, I can attest that Lebanese women love deeply and are very loyal to their beloved ones, a trait that seems to be dwindling in Europe, unfortunately. While they appreciate gestures like receiving gifts from their fiancés or husbands as a way to gauge love, they are not materialistic or abusive. I am certain that Mabelle wanted to pay for herself with her own money, but Mac insisted otherwise. Mac has demonstrated his generosity in many of his videos, often leaving tips and occasionally assisting those in need voluntarily. Lastly, human rights were first implemented by Charles Malek, who happened to be Lebanese. I reside in Montréal, where we have many pet shops that keep animals inside cages. However, it's important to note that these animals are well cared for, and there have been no complaints regarding their treatment. God Bless You ✝
@mikidias7 ай бұрын
@@lebanonthehostbecamethehos2904 Keep animals captive and imprisoned it's ILLEGAL here in my land and Europe 🇪🇺! 🙄 About us, European women...., that's not true 👎🏻. Not all European women are Feminist liberal. I'm one of them. I'm a PROUD Hejabi Catholic Christian ✝️ 🧕🏻 and really traditional and conservative!!! There's no excuses for discrimination regarding us women, regardless the race and ethnicity. I'm not less than an Lebanese or Arab or Asian women in general, for them to accept clearly SPOIL them with EVERYTHING and if we European women demand the same, we're immediately labelled - up and called - out "gold diggers"!!! 😡 Outrageous You can defend them and say whatever you want.... , that doesn't make it right, anyway... It's CLEAR the discrimination❗
