But how they can be both Christian and pro-abortion? You know, there is actually something more valuable than conformity to a brave new world values.
@janinasaam5 ай бұрын
@@Kassia_Jobs If you think all life is holy, then you would never be allowed to do anything, that might be bad, if you were pregnant. You could never know if you're pregnant (unless you avoided s3x for the last ten months) and you might kill or harm the baby otherwise. If all life is holy, then I hope you are a vegan and don't consume or use any products for which a human was killed or had to die in the course of the production/ construction (e.g. the WM in Katar, you cannot support or watch it, because people died during construction and that could have been avoided). And if all life is holy, I hope you never killed an animal. Even animals like mosquitoes, ticks and fleas. I am a Christian and I believe God would want us to do the right thing. This clump of cells has the potential to become a baby, but it's not a baby yet. That's why it's okay to abort. And it is generally safer to have the option to abort than to not have it. Sometimes it's just not safe for the mother to birth a child. Look at the statistics for that. And generally nothing should be forbidden by law that stems from religion or religious believes. Someone who doesn't believe the same thing another person believes should not be limited in his freedom due to that. We all have a moral we can mostly agree on. But religion has no place in that and should be exluded in that. Keeping someone else from getting an abortion is like saying that since I am on a diet you can't eat that burger. The baby cannot exist without the mother and is therefore part of the mother, which means she gets to decide until a certain point what she wants

Amazing Film!! What I realized from this short film is that all mothers regardless of what their sexual identity is are also still learning how to be a mother. This lesbian mom shows how she’s doing her best to give her child the best possible care and despite there are things that she lacks in(like most moms do) from fulfilling the needs of her daughter-be it physical, emotional, and mental support-her efforts in wanting to give her daughter the best life is still remarkable and I think that deserves recognition and respect. Thank you for sharing this amazing film!

Movies like these are very hard to watch for me. I have a terrible relationship with my mom, which makes me harsher towards people from her generation. But to be fair, my mom wouldn't be a little late to drive me, she'd be at least 24 hours late so I would never get there at all. I guess there's different shades of grey. The "slow me down" line really hit me.

I do not "like" abortion. I don't think anyone does. I personally couldn't have one. That being said when my sister was crying because she was addicted to a hard drug and knew she was pregnant but couldn't bring herself to stop and was worried the baby would be born extremely deformed or disabled. I told her I'd go with her and when she said she doesn't have the money I said, "If you want to do this and you're sure I will get you the money however I can. I'll hold a carwash and hold signs up that it's for an abortion. We'd get hate but I bet a lot of people would donate." She laughed through the tears picturing me telling people defiantly that I'm raising money for an abortion. I didn't have a job at the time. I was young. It's the only time I felt fully supportive of it...until I was in an abusive relationship and about to be homeless and I had tried to get a tubal just a month before getting pregnant with a third kid and I really felt like I had to get an abortion because I couldn't bring another baby into struggle and cause my other two kids to suffer even more and I really considered it but I ultimately kept the baby and I'm so glad I did. But since then Ive seen so many women struggle because of antiabortion laws, including women I love having to live and walk around with a baby they know is dead inside them for weeks and a teenager who was they attempted to charge with murder for having a miscarriage in a toilet. Banning abortion isn't just stopping unborn babies from dying as I once thought, it escalates to control and oppress women and even cause their deaths. I'm still not going to say I agree with abortion but we absolutely need to keep it legal within a reasonable timeframe.

I'm surprised a lesbian mother of a hetero teenage daughter didn't know exactly what the situation with abortion rights in her state were, and already knew how far she had to drive, that feels unrealistic. I'm a middle age lesbain with no kids no odds of getting pregnant, I keep track of the state of rights, and just about to order some M&Ms incase someone near needs any...
@fungustheclown6665 ай бұрын
I mean, you aren't everyone lmao. Some lesbians don't keep track of stuff like that because they don't find it particularly helpful, as they don't want kids and don't have relationships with those who could get them pregnant. Some people in general kinda live under a rock a bit, which can be good and bad.

The balances and boundaries of the world are the realities of the world. Instead of trying to adapt the facts to the imbalances, the right thing to do should be to bring the imbalances into balance. Medicine has advanced a lot and treatment is possible. How right is it to put the patient on a path of no return instead of treating him just because he doesn't feel sick? Isn't it strange that gender reassignment surgeries are supported while people with terminal illnesses cannot find support for treatment? Why do companies and groups spend millions of dollars and support this, even though it has no benefit? This capitalist system based on the benefit. what is the benefit to them?
