Was Really interesting to see the setup that you’re using on this river! I know this river well I live in Wanaka and drive down weekly to fish it. So much better when everything was locked down 😂😂😂Awesome footage as always

Absolutely wonderful and you are so skilful. I am from Scotland and visited South Island in February 2006 but didn't really 'sight fish" which I can now appreciate is the key to success. I must come again before I die the country is soo beautiful, like Scotland on steroids! I spent 10 glorious days and ended up with 'trench foot' from wading so much. maybe you can give me some pointers to great remote rivers in South Island. I am an experienced hill walker although the 'bush bashing' there is extreme. What a life honestly I could have thrown away my passport and lived the rest of my life in the Bush. Allan the 'Wanderer'

Alex, a friend of mine and myself did a float trip on the Lehigh River in PA. Had a very good day. First of all you would thing we were out on a gig river in the western US. We caught lost of fish. I had 5 browns - all wild, a17, 16,15,14 and a 12 inch brown trout. I also lost one that I would have bet was over 20 inches. It just started running and somehow unhooked itself. My friend had an even better day with 7 or 8 browns and 2 rainbow and a 4 lb small mouth. His largest brown was 18 inches. But what a great day, beautiful sunny day. Maybe a high of 60 degrees. Best day I’ve had on that river. All beautiful fish with a tint of red on the browns. Not NZ but certainly a great day.

You and Dean are a fun team to watch fishing. I was wondering, is that river more difficult to sight fish for example in that area with the high cut banks and trees? It looks very different than many of the streams I've seen you fish. Also, is blind fishing looked down upon in N.Z.? Thanks for the great videos!

Great vid again. Just wonder: how/when do you know to put extra weight (lead) to your nymphs.

Not trying to hotspot, but is that the same river you caught that monster brown from behind the rock a while back?

It's almost worse when you can see the fish, cause you see it go right over their head or they go up and look at it, and then leave.
