Not a good flight experience for you. First a fog delay and now a diversion to alternate airport due to running out of fuel. Not to mention 2 rough landings. Which is weird because Emirates have the smoothest landings.

Why was the flight diverted to SFO?

There was an announcement made by the captain in the video at 24:77 that because of strong head winds more fuel was burnt, hence the reason for diverting to SFO for refuelling.

Very eventful journey. First, massive delay in Dhaka and then diverting to San Francisco! Those were very hard landings at both SFO and LAX.
