There's a joke among my colleagues that we should never upload any flight photos on instagram if we fly with this airline because they could be our last photos and will be aired by the national tv as 'the last passenger moment' if our plane is crashed lol.

I don't know what's more surprising, you doing a video on Lion Air or your flight wasn't delayed (or at least you didn't say it was lol). As some people have already pointed out here, Lion Air is super notorious for their delays. If I was to consider all the times I flew Lion Air, I'd say 8 out of 10 of my flights have been delayed. I'm also surprised that you had a welcoming flight attendant. Usually they're just standing there solemnly by the door in my flights. The only reason people choose to fly with them is just do to their cheap tickets. Not all Indonesians can always fly with Garuda Indonesia and most flights here are short enough that comfort isn't really an issue. They're still the worst major Indonesian airline though in my opinion. If I want an Indonesian LCC, I'd choose Citilink when I can.

I have taken their international flights from Singapore to Jakarta(lion air), Singapore to Ipoh(Malindo Air, heard they stopped flying this route) and Singapore to Bangkok(thai lion air). It's quite decent and pretty on time for these 3 flights! Planes were all new 737s. They do offer a small pack of Oreos and cup of water too.

I often wonder when you are flying some of these carriers if you check their safety rating before you decide to fly with them. Just because they are flying newer aircraft doesn't mean they are as safe as other major carriers. In 2016 Lion Air was removed from the "EU list of Banned Carriers" after being on that list for nine years.

They have great planes right now, such as 737MAX (on grounded currently), A330-900neo, A330-300. Their Widebodies commonly used for Umrah Flights, but sometimes used for high demand domestic flight.

even tho most of indonesian hate to fly with this airlines, a lot of them still willing to book their ticket and keep complaining 🤦🏻‍♀️ fyi, based on my experience with lion air, if you want to go travelling without any delays, book their 1st flight schedule (mostly in the early morning) 90% of my trip with them, i only experiencing 1/2 times delays.

hi, i am Victor and I am from the United Kingdom. I am a huge fan of yours because of two reasons. The first one is because I love planes and flight reports, and the second one is because I travel a lot so I have gone on every airline in the world except for lion air.
