Lufthansa have the most amazing long haul fleet.. A343, A346, 744, 748, A380, 787, A350! The last of its kind.

It seems to me that the best thing about this trip was the Polaris lounge. The United Polaris cabin would have also been better. My biggest problem with lufthansa's business class is not the fact that it's outdated, but the price that they charge for it. They should definitely find a way to speed up the upgrade of their cabins. It's not even good enough to be a 4-star business class.

The A340 are set for retirement next year i mean? No point in upgrading the Cabin at this time. But i surely get your Statement and you're not wrong. Their A350s and 787s are equipped with the new Business Class already

@@rulewski33 Yes, the A340 series will be retired, but Lufthansa has a number of A330s, 747-8 and A350s with the older cabins which they plan to refresh. They need to do it soon.

They desperately want to upgrade but obviously Covid happened and now the airline manufacturers cannot deliver fast enough. The 787s are delayed and Airbus can’t get the A350s fully equipped because they lack seats. Not ideal for Lufthansa. That food didn’t look too bad thiugh.

Loved my time on the LH A343s. I remember flying on D-AIGS back in 2005 IAH-FRA. In the run up to the 2006 World Cup in Germany it was one of the planes with a soccer ball painted on the nose.

Why is LH continuing to charge fairly hefty fares for a ride in A 340 with minimal amenities compared to other airlines who have changed layouts, full 180 degree flat bed, good meal & beverage service etc. They should be discounting this A340 Business substantially for trans-atlantic travel especially on old A340. What's your thought on that?

I once traveled on a Lufthansa A-340-600. While a lovely piece of machinery it has a seriously design flaw. It's that all economy lavatories are down a small staircase in a narrow space. I'd eaten too much cheese and sausage while in Poland. Things had stopped moving. When returning to USA via Munich about hour 3 on the Airbus things started moving again. I went to the lavatory. I had been drinking all day and the fumes were so potent I started laughing so hard at the thought that when I would open the door of the lavatory the passengers waiting on the stairs would have their nostrils ruined for like two hours I was worried I'd be asked what is wrong because I was laughing so hard in the facility. The looks on the faces of the passengers waiting in that narrow space were those of disdain and horror. I think Airbus should create more space and have powerful fans to eliminate radioactive fumes from undisciplined Americans like me who have zero restraint gorging ourselves on European delicacies.

I always wanted to fly MD-11 and A346 and I thought it will never happen, as first is out of use and second is rare this day and guess what... I'm going to fly to Hong Kong with A340-600 in 2 months, I'm so hyped! Lufthansa economy is quite boring and average but I don't care this time, I'm super happy to fly this aircraft! When I find out that it's possible to return to Frankfurt via Seoul with B747-400 I just totally ignored all other, even cheaper and better options. Two legendary planes I've never flew before! ᕦ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ᕤ

Good that Lufthansa are still operating the 340 personally I think the 600 is the best looking passenger jet of all times (apart from Concorde)food offering looked ok but for the price you would usually pay for a business class ticket it looked nothing special.

The last time I was at O'Hare, they had stands selling enormous pretzels. I didn't get to buy one because my flight got moved from gate 27 to gate 93 or some such ridiculous number and I didn't have time.

wOW. So glad I saw this. I was about to book this flight but after seeing the meal service and seating, it is very dated so I will definately choose another airline. I'm sure when the 787 goes into service it will be better, but for now very unimpressed. Thank you for sharing to help me make my decision

I flew twice with lufthansa😮 it was a horrible experience compared with the more pleasant flights of British airways, and Air Algérie. Lufthansa German flight attendants were harsh, always in the worst of their moods..and the onboard plane was scenting.

Good Evening, thanks for asking the question. Wizz Air currently has a 1.3 star rating on Trustpilot, a 3/10 rating on Skytrax and a 2.5 star on TripAdvisor. From this I would conclude that Wizz Air is currently a below par or even sub par airline. Have a great day.

I'm sorry, but that is the WORST looking biz class for a long haul international flight. It looks like a very old style biz class. Every other carrier has gone to large comfortable pods in biz class. What the heck is Lufthansa thinking? I came here to check it out because I was planning a trip to fly to Frankfurt and i wanted to check out the biz class seats on Lufthansa for this rout. I am glad I looked. I now understand why it was so cheap compared to other airlines. This is horrible. No thanks, I will pay a litle extra and fly American in a nice Business class suite.

Great report on in my view the most elegant airplane in the skies. And it is excactly the model which forced Bärbock, Merkel and so many other politicians to spend so many unplanned stops. And yes, the Bundeswehr claims their A340s are just as reliable as commercial ones. Haha. Never heard of so many problems with LHs A340s. Seems you were lucky without a neighbour. Food looked tbh more like Premium Eco on a better airline than LH, like EK..and the 19,80 Euro champagne is really the worst in the skies and the lowest in the supermarket shelves:) Oh Lufthansa.
