PLEASE READ: Like everyone else, we are very concerned about the current situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. We have suspended all travels until at least late-June. However, we have decided to continue to publish videos as usual because luckily, within the past twelve months, we were able to record a lot more videos than we were able to publish. This means we will publish some older Tripreports we weren't yet able to cut and upload. And we have enough of them to continue to publish three Tripreports per week for the foreseeable future! We ask for your apology for having to upload some older videos which are not necessarily up-to-date. As always, you can see when a video was recorded in the description. Thank you for your understanding. We wish everyone, especially those working in the aviation and travel industry, a lot of strength in this difficult time. Remember to wash your hands and stay safe! Greetings from Vienna, David and Felix

But I didn’t see you guys walking towards the Security checkpoint and it was super hot 🥵 especially in August the worst time to visit because of the heat. Anyways great trip report. Yes, lots of people visit Orlando's theme parks, resorts and convention centers, but the main reason why it's such a busy airport is being a major base for JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit and Frontier all at once. Miami leads in international traffic, though. MIA is still the largest gateway between the U.S. and Latin America (the Miami area itself is where many U.S. companies doing business with Latin America are based, as well as the Latin American divisions of many major U.S. corporations), and it has a lot of flights to Europe, too. But FLL is growing as a reliever airport and is taking a bit from both MIA's and MCO's strengths. For example, Emirates chose FLL over MIA to operate its Dubai-Florida flights (it used to fly to MCO as well).

Emirates still does fly from MCO-DXB

@@breezytheyoungin665 , I used the past because most Emirates routes have been cancelled due to the pandemic, I wasn't sure about this one, and one can't be sure about which routes will be kept later either.

Our smaller domestic carrier here in Australia is called Regional Express...known as Rex airlines which only flies the Saab 340...and they are fantastic...real flying with a cup of tea and a lolly before landing ( or candy ) !! I love those SAAB 340s! Over the years, I have found out firsthand how reliable they are & how well they handle bad weather. Now, if Simply Aviation could figure out how to produce the aroma of Jet-A & diesel fumes & put that into the videos, the home experience would almost be identical to the actual one, right down to the screaming kid!

you know, Silver is phasing out the Saabs, and replacing them with ATR 42's and 72's. So you got a pretty rare flight. In fact, the specific aircraft you flew is named "One By One" and first flew for Mesaba Arilines and was registered as N443XJ before being bought by Silver in late 2012 as N343AG.

@leardvr4 жыл бұрын
Zero flap takeoff is typical of the Saab 340. 7° gives better ground roll numbers but decreases 2nd segment performance. We also don't land flaps full, typically only flaps 20°

I'm wondering if this flight is more cost-effective than simply driving all the way from Orland to Fort Lauderdale. It's an hour flight, plus check-in time, as compared to about to a 3h drive. Anyway, the flight seems quite full, so I'm guessing it's worth it.
