Have you been to the Hannover trade fair? Apparently it's awesome. Lots of new technology exhibitions etc. Best to go for two days, because that's how long it would take to completely look around it.

I'm surprised they kept the screens down for takeoff and landing, at BA they always retract the screens. On the high density 320 have they put the toilets in the rear galley like Lufthansa have on their NEO aircraft? And are the rows not continuous as 36 seems a very high number, I thought it was 30 with 180 seats and 31 with 186.

Swiss has 30 rows in their A320 missing row's 13 and 18-24 ;) So they can transport 180 passengers. The screen is down during landing for the connecting passengers so they find there connection gate easily ;)

Great tripreport! Zurich airport looks really fancy (Better than many airports in the US haha) 15 minutes for security and check in? At JFK it took me 20 minutes at check in and 15 at security. Lucky you. Maybe European airports have better protocols for security? Stay safe :)

Dave well it is mostly done by a contractor which bid on a security offer and need to comply by the rules. By being not government controlled they can certainly improve time.

Somethimes there is not enough space in the overhead compartment, so it might be good to be first on the plane. On my Eurowings flight last week, passengers had to store their hand luggage suitcase under their seats. I am nearly 2m high, so that would be my nightmare :)

RailJet (high speed train) is same price like S-Bahn (suburban train). Standard-Fare is 3,90 from anywhere in Vienna (including underground, tram, bus, S-Bahn, ...). In this case, this standard price of VOR (Verkehrsverbund Ost Region, Transport Association East Region) 3,90 is cheaper than the reduced "VorteilsCard"-Owner-Fare of ÖBB (Austrian Railways) 4,50, because of the short distance (ÖBB-Tickets are only valid on Austrian Railways (including s-bahn, but not underground, bus, tram, ...). Only special airport busses and CAT, a special city airport train, are more expensive. But at the City Center CAT-Station, for many airlines, you can check-in and drop off your baggage to your flight destination. I wrote this here, because so many people (also here in Austria) do not know, that there are no supplements on (high speed-)trains in Austria. In most austrian transport associations, (high speed-)trains can be used also with tickets for local transport, for example here in the region in and around Vienna.

From my experience, the majority of people who rush to be first want to make sure they can get their bags in the overhead bins. Then there is no risk of them having to go in the hold and be retrieved from the baggage carousel.

Simon Meyer in austria there is no supplement on any train. so you can use for example high speed trains, like railjet, with the same ticket you use for local transport, like s-bahn and tram. only cat, a special cityairporttrain, has different prices.
