As a kid, I thought Tripwire was okay. Not the most exciting Joe for a kid. But having actually served with EOD personnel during my Army career, my appreciation for him has gone through the roof. I love the addition of Aspara and MACLOUD. I think he's worth the deluxe price point.

I got my Tripwire today and this is so interesting because a lot of folks I've seen on facebook feel the way you do, he's ok, but not the most exciting, not worth the price, etc. But for me, I did not have Joes as a kid at all, there's no nostalgia involved for me in GI Joe like there is for Ninja Turtles, Thundercats, and Power Rangers. So I'm kinda unbiased when it comes to Classified, I just get them because they are great figures and I actually really like this Tripwire figure, I think the metal detector and robot are both super neat, unique accessories and I also like the rat. I'm planning on using some of the extra pieces, including the head for custom figures, I actually put the second head that came with Grunt on this figure and I really like how it looks. I know it's not that "classic" Tripwire face/helmet, but it's fine with me and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth out of all the extra use I'm getting from the other parts

When you got Firefly's dynamite set to blow in 2 minutes you are going to want Tripwire in there disarming it!! When I was a kid Tripwire wasn't in the battles. He hung out with Deep Six, Clutch, and Wild Bill and was called up to the front line when needed with either Wild Bill or Clutch bringing him up quick! 😄

It's weird a rat comes with Tripwire instead of Tunnel Rat. It feels like Hasbro realized they made a mistake. And threw the rat in here so ppl will put the rat with Tunnel Rat. Other than that this is a good character to have in your collection. Even if you don't really care for Tripwire. Bc every team needs a explosive ordance disposal specialist (EOD). Especially if firefly is around.

They have bomb sniffing rats in real life, so it makes sense to go with Tripwire as they are both looking for bombs and mines.

I liked Tripwire a lot as a kid. Really surprised at the loadout for the Classified version. Really cool!!

Tripwire isn't anyone's favorite...I hope...but the Classified version made me care about a character I never cared about. He's great and I'll be saying so a little later this week.

I like that you can display him in the classic look or the modern style. Nice that they gave him a rat that is used to sniff out explosives in spaces dogs can't get to and the robot disposal device. I can load him up in the modern gear, that way he can go with my more realistic military Action Force troopers.

Tripwire was not a fun character as a kid so like my other Joes he used what he had as weapons, so my Tripwire threw the mines like Frisbees. As for the new one, I like the new padded Hurt Locker look. And always thought bomb disposal was the wildest brave job.

Tripwire was my brother’s and family’s first GI Joe 3.75” figure back in the days. I think it was on clearance. So, it was not popular even back in the days. I’m glad they made it with more accessories, but I’m no for deluxe price. And not big on the face sculpt. Easy pass for me. If it ever get to clearance, maybe…

Tripwire was a middle of the road guy for me, didn't love him, but didn't hate him. The foot broke on my vintage figure when I was a kid. I taped it on with masking tape and chalked it up to a landmine that he missed. I am sure I will pick this one up at some point.

Ok I’m probably in the minority but I felt the shoehorned a lot into this just to give it a “deluxe price”. Drone makes some sense but the Rat? Of course as a kid I’d just give Tripewire a gun from the accessories packs as so easy mod.

like i understand his function and his role on the team, but gah is he boring looking. his colorway looks like an opened can of creamed spinach. otherwise hes cool. good thing he has a helmet because that face sculpt and paint is fugly. real tough spot with ol’ tripwire here. he a specialist which is his main flaw in this instance. if he had a secondary skill that’d be something, but he is a soldier that has to walk slowly and uncover mines. meanwhile firefly is planting c-4 on the roof of a jet hangar, and the rat cant really do much to help tripwire at that point either. idk. hes a tough sell for sure.
