Just bought a K20. The doors don't lock, so I'm looking at how to replace the latch and see they changed it to this altman. Looks they never shortened the rod between the door handle and the latch. Thanks. your videos are very instructive.

Mine was going smooth till I got to striker plate .door would shut but needed to go in further than late would allow

Doesn’t look like the locks worked for you, did you ever fix this issue? My locks don’t work.

I didn't even us them. I permanently disabled and them. This truck has shave lock cylinders. What part of the locking mechanism isn't working for you?

@@youbreakityoufixit9594 neither the key or the button will actually lock the unit. It works outside of the door, but when bolted in it is no good. Does your button lock the door when you are inside the vehicle, or does it not work like mine?

@@dorshman all the lock functions on this kit worked before I disabled them. I've installed a few other kits and they function well too. I'd call Trique Clique. They're a mom and pop type place that I'm sure would be happy to help you out.

The C10 I built has shafted lock cylinders so I never set the locking mechanism up. Trique Clique is a great company and I'm sure they'd help you out if you call them.

.I ended up moving pin deeper and redrilled new hole .not thrilled for price ,!!!!!!!!!

Good video man, but I think people need to be aware before they cut the hole in their doors, the lock function is very iffy.

Not sure what your talking about, research shows the latch functions much better than even when the door was new….little to no issues found

Jesus can you make this anymore complicated than it has to be….everything said multiple times, black lines, files, hacksaws, no vice….you had the power tools, how about using them…..
