I'm not familiar with distances in the UK but I would suggest that you take a weekend to visit the monastery of St. John the Baptist at Essex. The fathers there are known and respected by the Orthodox community worldwide and would be the best people to give you the advise you seek.

Pete Vosnos Dear Pete, my sister lives in Greece now, and I plan to move to Greece permanently as soon as this Coronavirus Pandemic is over with. So I actually started learning the language through my IPad. I asked our dear St Nektarios to help me with the language as well as my traveling to this beautiful country. My sister Gina loves it there, and she says the Greek people are very friendly, and the life is very simple compared to the life here in USA . God bless you dear ✝️

@@petevosnos38 Greek is very hard to learn for English speakers. Its considered a cat 4 language at DLI, with cat 5s being the hardest. Most of the kids who werent Greek kids at OSU dropped out of the course as they felt they had to dedicate more of their time to it than other subjects and that was my experience also. I came to study history not a language and it was getting more time than the history courses put together. Even the Greek kids (who along with Catechism would study Greek when they were growing up) said they were spending 3 hours a night on homework and this was a first semester course.

@@josephscanaan637 for me i learned Greek when I was one today i speaked Greek in class the whole day and all the kids are Greek and translated to the teacher
