as someone also in recovery from an eating disorder, I would say I feel my “best” at my current place: healthily slim, working out/having muscle, and eating healthy. my body feels very well taken care of. so while I do absolutely agree that hyper fixating on body image is terrible for your mental health, I also think living a healthy lifestyle can be great, and you may be happier if you take on that lifestyle!

I didn’t have an eating disorder, but I had liver failure and got down to 80lbs from like 160….and I always said I can never complain about being heavy. I was obviously depressed drinking so similar and we both recovered from something… it’s just a sad life :/ and I can’t imagine how you feel having to actively think about food when it’s something you “need.” I don’t “need” alcohol obviously so it’s different. I’m proud of you though stranger ❤

@ For sure! When it becomes an ED is when it is all encompassing. Of course you can lose weight and not have an ED. It’s the mindset behind it. If it feels like you are constantly fighting another “voice”. Like a devil on the shoulder. If you are missing out on life events due to fear of missing a workout or a planned meal? Is there a severe compensation mindset/does everything have to be counteracted? Are you in mental distress over how you we’ll you “kept to your diet” at the end of the day? Do you lie about food? All good things to ask yourself that kind of make the difference

Here's my own Shane Dawson conspiracy theory (with reasoning to back it up): Do you guys remember when Gabbie Hanna swore up and down that Trisha reached out to Gabbie and invited her to Trisha's bday party?... And also when she swore up and down that Trisha had called her (and even showed on her phone that Trisha called her)? Meanwhile, Trisha swore up and down that Gabbie ASKED to come to her bday party (which Trisha said yes to) and also swore that she did NOT call Gabbie. My conspiracy theory is that Shane Dawson spoofed Trisha's phone number and messaged Gabbie an invite to Trisha's bday party (because he's a meangirl and thought it would be funny) and that he also spoofed Gabbie's number and messaged Trisha asking to come to the bday party, AND that along with spoofing Trisha's number to message Gabbie the invite, he also used voice changing software to make the phone call to Gabbie that she thought was Trisha. The evidence: Whoever called Gabbie pretending to be Trisha, actually knew Trisha's real phone number. So it had to be someone who knew Gabbie AND Trisha's number. Shane knew both numbers. It had to be someone who not only knew Trisha's number, but also had the ability to sound like her. At that point, Shane had already done conspiracy videos showing how he could use AI to imitate people's voices. It had to be someone who knew what Trisha's digital bday party invite looked like. Shane was invited. It had to be someone who for whatever reason, enjoyed stirring the pot between Gabbie and Trisha. Remember when it was revealed that Shane was the one who lied to Gabbie and told her Trisha had herpes? So Shane definitely was interested in stirring the pot between the two...

You have to see it from the perspective that she was severely burned by him in their friendship. Trish was openly a great friend to him, protected him, stood by him- and he didn’t return the favor. Anyone should be able to tell by the fall out of friends throughout Shane’s career…. It’s definitely Shane’s actions that have had most of his crew X him. I still watch Shane, but still struggle with his demeanor.
