So Blood of Christ is either a metaphor for forgetting all your troubles with a love/loved one/lover, or it could be more literal and the Christian idea of a Christian being "in this world not of it" and the comfort of Christ... or a song about getting drunk on wine.

@@RoSo-fm5ke I looked at the lyrics and I suspect its more about a lover's comfort from the pressures of life. But, much like you, I want to believe this is a love song to alcoholism. Although the idea of it being a love song about Christ would be great as well. The anti-christian stance of the scene was fun when I was 15, but now its seems obligatory and so very redundant, but a song of hope, love, and salvation, that would be a beautiful thing.
